What Is Your Opinion On The Occupy Wallstreet Protests And Would You Join Us?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rich with the help of republicans are ruining our country because they could pay for all our bills but choose not to. We are the 99 percent and you should not be corporate slaves any longer while your bosses make millions more than you due to corporate greed.

Our mission is to make them pay for our socialist health care measures and deficits to our government programs like food stamps and other welfares. We can not let them get away with more deficit spending at our expense because they evade taxes due to loopholes and lower tax rates than the average working man.

We are backed by george soros(moveon.org), the unions, and local welfare offices to help fund us during these revolutionary times so please take some time off work or a vacation and join the protests to help your country as I have. I have to go beat the bongo drums but I will return to keep you informed on our progress thanks.

Why would anyone want to be associated with these drug addicts and rapists?

I think they are awesome and it makes me finally proud to live in this country. It makes me feel that people are finally realizing that they can take their country back, and that we can have a true democracy. But it will take more than OWS. We need more movements, more people willing to stand up for their rights.

What other political entity can the US people join that actually supports their interest for social change and a better life?

The US Government has shown its intent to increase poverty, consolidate wealth in the hands of a few, and to deprive the US people of basic nutritional needs of wholesome food, their basic liberties of doing business, and their right of ownership on things they invent (See: First-to-file).

The US people have no choice but to support the occupiers! It is their only hope at a better future!

The US Government has betrayed the people and violated the constitution by redefining the word "People" creating a superclass of people and superclass of speech! It is exactly what the US Founding fathers didn't want and why they rebelled in the first place against aristocratic rule!

You would accomplish a heck of a lot more if you talked Obamato to hold off increasing the min.wage and pushing unions off on companies for a couple of years and allow those companies that are talking of moving factories back from China and Europe to do it. Wages and transportation costs are going up for them and they can see advantages of moving them back here as wages have stayed fairly low. To do this, plus push health care on them now, might just change their mind to keep them abroad. Obama couldn't pick a worse time to do this. You want to spread the wealth, the best way to do that is through jobs and I think Obama is going to screw that up.

I would not join you. But I would try to help you by saying that you are deluded by beliefs that will crush you until you wake up.

I see them as nearly the nadir of America, one step up from the parasites who also believe they have a 'right' to the wealth of others but are too lazy to stir themsleves to the level of an occupier. They are amongst the great unwashed (literally) and abysmally ignorant of both history and economics...all full of indignation but empty of talent.

So, no I would never, ever join them.

The OWS and Tea Party are pretty much the same thing... fringes of a political movement. The difference was teh TEA party had money and political backing the OWS did not. One can argue because OWS did not take a more political stand and stayed a protest movement that they are a more pure organization. I would never join them myself but I do relate to some of their grievences.

One can only hope so. The stuffed shirts successfully squashed them last time around. I hope they've decided on a more successful strategy this time around.

Why did somebody resurrect this thread? OWS is a dead movement. Their camp-out is over, it had no long term impact, and it actually gave us all a second look at how emotional, illogical, and destructive hippie culture was the first time around.

More pure? It was a bunch of spoiled rich kids camping out in a park with homeless people, doing drugs, having sex, and vandalizing things for a month. It was purely funny to watch from the outside. But I'm not sure it was pure anything else.

The stuffed shirts would certainly like to maintain the idea that it's dead. More profitable for them that way.

    Its staged opposition.

You people are nothing more than a controlled PsyOp, meant to lure in and confuse those who seek freedom from the economic terrorism known as the federal reserve.

You are evil and fake, OWS!

    Go away!

    "You people".

    That rings vaguely familiar....

Anything that calls attention to this corrupt system of greed and corporate tyranny is valid and needed to shake complacency.

OWS were just copy-catting the Ron Paul grassroots activists - a bunch of Johnny-come-latelys with no coherent understanding of the system or how to properly reform it.

I think they recognized that the system is corrupt as opposed to the fat cat elite (aka..the GOP), who salute it. That's a start and certainly more beneficial to society as a whole.
