SB 5 voted down in Ohio, Buckeye voters reject Individual Mandate in healthcare, Mississippi votes no on personhood ballot...

    1) SB 5: In a victory for union workers, SB 5 was voted down decisively today. Governor Kasich's legislation was defeated by a largely coordinated effort including several unions. Parts of the Bill may see a second life as part of a new piece of legislation, but for right now Gov. Kasich said "The people have spoken clearly. You don't ignore the public. Look, I also have an obligation to lead. I've been leading since the day I took this office, and I'll continue to do that. But part of leading is listening and hearing what people have to say to you."

NOTE: I voted against SB 5. While I agree our State has financial issues that need addressing, I don't agree that the path to fiscal health in through the various public workers collective bargaining rights/unions. There's plenty of other areas where Kasich can cut spending in Ohio. I think it was an unwise first step for the new Governor.

    2) Issue 3: (Healthcare Referendum) Ohio voters convincingly voted against...

    Continue here please...

Kasich better move far away if he wants his next job as dog catcher. America is finally waking up.

So the stupid voters of Ohio decided that it was better to keep funding via their taxes-- the unions so the union workers can get better benefits and higher wages than many of their private industry workers get. That is the taxed workers that still have a job in this high unemployment nation of ours. My GOD, stupidity and socialism go hand in hand, and Kasich will be blamed for Ohio's failure to bring down his state's debt. Thanks union/socialized workers. Go figure!

Liberals are determined to destroy the private sector and ensure that only the Government is the employer of choice in this country.

No jobs except Government jobs, and if you aren't connected, then get on welfare and vote with the sheep or starve.

Conservatives aren't allowed to have jobs.

It looks like the greed heads lost in Ohio.

I'll consider outlawing union membership after the law bans the Business Round Table and the Chamber of Commerce. Until then this is just the rich waging war on working people.

So now you know the REST OF THE STORY.
About Romney's comments there about 2 weeks ago.

When he said he supported the governors ideas to bring in Unions power without a out right jump on the band wagon.

Romney will need Ohio..and he needed to sound as if there WAS some middle ground without killing all workers rights.

Too bad it has to be 1 way or the complete opposite.
No wonder Romney has trouble...no ONE wants the balance he offers.
And my take.. Ohio that voted to KILL this law..was Big city UNION.
Not country rural struggling to pay budgets.
So let Cleveland go bankrupt along with Americas biggest cities.
The country people cannot pay the Cadillac plans that government workers enjoy.
Be it in Ohio.Calif. or Minnesota.

    --Bloated Union Slob Salaries
    --Gold Plated Union Health Care
    --Diamond Inlayed Union Pensions

.....the three biggest budget items for the State of Ohio and many Ohio municipalities. What are the "plenty of other areas" that can be cut?

As usual, the voters of this land showed once again that they are totally and irrevocably confused as to which way to jump. There were many issues on the ballots yesterday, and the American voters split them right down the middle....some to the right and some to the left.

I guess this country needs a really good crisis to see which way We the People ought to go.

The sole purpose of a public sector union is to take the people's tax dollars and funnel them to the Democrat Party.
