Rahm Emanuel: Mitt Romney 'Turns A Blind Eye' To The Middle Class

By Paige Lavender | HuffPost | 11/20/11 12:45 PM ET

“Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel had some harsh words for Mitt Romney Sunday, saying the Republican presidential candidate "turns a blind eye" to the middle class.

The former White House chief of staff said on ABC's "This Week," that Romney has "revealed himself" as someone who doesn't take the values of all voters into account.

"I believe as the campaign continues, more and more people will see who he's willing to stand for," Emanuel said.

It wasn't the first time Emanuel has criticized Romney in recent days. On Saturday, Emanuel made fun of Romney's flip-flops while addressing a group of Democrats In Iowa.

"Mitt Romney says he's a man of steadiness and consistency," Emanuel said at a dinner in Des Moines. "If that's true, then I'm a linebacker for the Chicago Bears."

Emanuel also promoted Obama's handling of the economy and chastised the entire GOP field for touting old ideas on the campaign trail.

"Regardless of the personalities, all of them are espousing the same policies that have been tried before and led to the present economic situation that the president inherited in 2009," Emanuel said. ‘Not one of them have had a new idea that's different than was tried.’ "

    …….

Rahm, you my freakin’ man….you always get it right!!

Emanuel has Romney’s flip-flopping personality down pat, but his evaluation of the rest of the republican/T-bagger candidates is also true and precise. They are all clones of corporate America, and will fight only for the status quo.

Though he is a tried and true politician, Emanuel always cut to th core of the person and gives a devastating evaluation of that person’s shortcomings and true agenda. I can see him as a future Governor if he can keep his focus on the people of the country rather than his financial backers.

You are wrong, Rahm got that fish from Toys R Us and sent it to attest to the political opponent's IQ. What make a fake story up, Consmike?
Is there a republican/T-bagger that is NOT a liar?

Why do they rant on about President Obama's being born (anywhere) when that Rahm man has actually served in the army of a foreign country? I suppose they don't know any geography either. What a crew!

FOCUS people: Is there anyone that can give a lucid reply to Emanuel's rhetoric on Romney?

His strange non-entry into any controversial issue at all shows his laxness and empathy for the problems Americans face today from the remnants of the GW Bush tenure. By saying nothing, he would do nothing.

By doing nothing he would be a handsome, well coiffed, perennially tanned caricature of any do-nothing republican in Washington. Do we really need more of those?

Lucid reply? It would help if Rahm Emanuel could say anything lucid once in his life. He gives no reason for saying that about Mitt Romney, yet at the same time he and Obama have been (*)(*)(*)(*)ting on the middle class since they got in office. Obama and Rahm are proven job killers. What do you want us to say? At the very, very least, if Romney becomes President, he most likely won't be as bad as Obama. How's that?

(BTW, you do know Rahm is a crook, right? I mean, that's public knowledge.)

    .....

    1) Oh Geez, an elementary school kid...step away from the computer, kiddo.

    2) You mean Obama...the fellow that had to clean up rep. GW Bush's Mess?

    3) btw: You know Romney is a crook, right" The last the public saw of him was running from reporters asking him why the hard drives were missing, and everything else scrubbed, when he left office to incoming Gov. Deval Patrick.

I mean it's public knowledge that office equipment of Gov. Romney, his chief of staff, and chief legal council are all public property paid for by taxpayers in Massachusetts.
