Below is the video of the exchange between GOP candidate Mitt Romney and Vietnam Vet Bob Garon. The two had a short chat about how Romney feels about the rights of those who are gay and married to their partners. Some of the buzz about this makes it out to be a pretty (*)(*)(*)(*)ing moment for Romney, I didn't really see that. Did the conversation go in the direction he (Romney) he figured it would? Probably not, but he wasn't overly disrespectful about it. The two men disagree, obviously and Garon says he won't be voting for Romney. Watch it for yourself and decide how big a deal this is or isn't: Click here for video...
Why would this be a problem for Romney ? The vet asked him a question, and got an honest answer. Most Republicans agree with RM's stance on gay marriage. The vet thanked him for his candor and shook his hand. If anything, this would be a plus. Bro
I wonder If MB or Perry would have got that handshake afterwards. ? After they condemned that guy to He..
Chris Matthews had that Vietnam Veteran on his show tonight, and he introduced him by saying this is the guy that had a heated exchange with Romney on gay marriage. I saw the video--it was about as civil and benign as a talk can be between two people with opposing views. Expect hyperbole from Matthews and his liberal buddies from this point out until eclection day.
MSNBC is real garbage,,,they hated Hannity so much they all became him.....LOL At least Fox only has one...... Now THAT'S FAIR AND BALANCED.....LOL
In any case... it is Romney's 'values' pertaining to "gay marriage" that many people will NOT be voting for. They WILL reject him for that.
