Seems as though Virginia has some stringent (and possibly biased) standards, but it is a free country, and electoral requirements is a reserved power.

Hm, you say possibly biased? I was not aware that the state dislikes Perry or Newt, of course you didn't say this yet one can only take what you said this way. Why else would you have said it? So i must ask one, about there great knowledge on the possibly biased standards in Virginia? Please enlighten.

The *bias* is apparently that the signatures required have to be from eligible voters. Imagine that!!

I never said they did, and I would not argue that they did dislike Newt or Perry. All the articles that I have read on the matter have not indicated why Gingrich and Perry failed to meet the signature requirements. Therefore, it is possible that the standards are biased.

According to various sources, Virginia requires that a candidate gets at least 400 signatures from its 11 congressional districts. Gingrich's failure implies that he failed to accomplish this. This has to bring into question his organization in Iowa.

I absolutely agree. and I admit that it makes me proud of my nation what I stated in the OP, because it shows that Americans for the most part are not as idiots as media would have us believe.
