    It's a good thing she did not live in Washington D.C. or Chicago where the Democrats and Barack Obama tried to take away the guns from the citizens. That mother and baby could be very dead.

    Never try and interfere with a mother and her baby.

    I hope the perps estate has enough money to buy her a new couch, the other one is ruined by blood.

    How? D.C. and Chicago only wants to ban hand guns and she used a shotgun.

    Don't get me wrong, I support gun rights, but your comment was misleading.

    You know what though Mello.......it's not really about home protection for most of these righties....I mean it IS about that....but there is this whole thing about well regulated militias, and how some righties think they need big guns to keep the government from using big guns on them, to seize thier big guns...thus stealing thier liberties and implementing socialism.

    It's really an arms race that takes place in the minds of paranoid gun nuts and the imaginary government threat of coming after thier guns.

    It's kind of a variation on a self reinforcing delusion

    And the Christian social traditionalist media preys on these poor folks by expoliting that delusion with fearmongering.......for votes...that they hope will wind up in the Republican category

    She's gone thru a lot ... her husband died on Xmas Day, leaving her w/an infant and then this happened to her........

    she should have announced she had a gun before deciding to kill someone, the guy she killed was unarmed the story said he was running to her with a knife and no one would run at someone with a gun pointed at them.

    police are trained to say they will shoot before they kill someone citizens should be required to do the same as not every intruder is dangerous

    Those laws propose the seizure of any/all handguns in the homes of law abiding citizens. Obama spoke out 100% in support with full knowledge that many would lose their only guns if they abiding by the law.

    the president is right guns just cause trouble and they should be banned

    she could have stopped the guy with pepper spray and he would have another chance at life and probably been rehabilitated

    Gun sales are way up during this admin. Especially in the last few months. People are suffering. They're running out of all resources. Savings gone, no jobs, nothing much left. Cheap basic food becoming a luxury for many. People have sold what they have to pawn shops and that money's gone. This is what people are telling me. This is what I'm seeing. Flea markets are a no go, because people aren't buying anything.

    And now I hear the pawn shops are ONLY buying gold and guns.

    Things were not good in late 2008, but things have gotten worse each year. Unemployment is going down only because people are giving up even looking.

    There will be a bloodbath in the fall and things are gonna get worse in the meantime.

    I predict the partisan rancor on this site will get uglier with each passing month. Just my :twocents:
