As Russian, living in US for 15 years I came to conclusion that in order to win be clever and be a leader is the least requirement.

The primary requirement is - you have to be either cute, be black, be a women or ability to be a good speaker.

I am a Ron Paul supporter and what do we see looking at his Republican opponents?

Look at these two cute glamorous guys:

Have you ever had a bald President recently???
Gee, Ron Paul is the best candidate I ever seen for whole history of USA. And he doesn't look like a sold out Zionist marionette, like I've seen being put past 50 years.
What is the most important quality for a person in US, be clever or be cute? LOL

But anyway, all these US elections look like a total joke to me. In order for one to win, another one should just loose. And they are full of corruption, since millions are involved - who pays more gets more chances to win. You simply bribe Mass Media to buy better exposure and mind controlling techniques, specialists, advisers.
I wont even go to vote.

Aaahh..That's so wrong...I would love to have Ron Paul spend a weekend hanging out with us guys fishing and telling yarns around the campfire at night.
    Heck..gosh darn..with Romney I couldn't even offer him a beer ..

and I do love my cup of coffee in the morning. :sun:

I even think Newt is a cute person in a Pillsbury puff guy way...like in Ghost Busters. But I wouldn't stop to help him out of his burning car.
I remember when he led this country down this path of bitterness.

    Paul's so attractive because he's a Texan.

Yeah, yeah, I know... folks HATE Rick Perry for the same reason.

Never try to figure out the American psyche. We like (dislike) who we like (dislike)... no specific reason necessary. ;)

Barack Obama and his handlers were extremely clever in 2008, martin, and while we might think he's the crappiest leader the USA has ever known, his sycophants will certainly tell you otherwise...

Yes ..but in this day of instant media..it was Newt V. Clinton when the battle was joined by the lack of cooperation.
The historian would re write history to have us believe he worked with President Clinton...Bill Clinton is many things..but above all a smart politician and we should have listened to him last time when he was talking about a fairy tale...and when he spoke about Newt Gingrich.

Ron Paul's charismatic when he's calm and collected. He then seems both compassionate and statesmanlike. Sometimes, however, he gets high-strung and stumbles over his words and that doesn't make a good impression.

Romney's problem, of course, is that he seems phony. He's like a personification of a baby-kissing, finger-in-the-wind politician.

I can remember Lefties cheering the day Reagan got shot. You'll never convince this ol' dawg that the bitter partisan rancor began during Gingrich's tenure as Speaker of the House, Billy...

While the voting habits of the public are typically very superficial in nature, I wouldn't say he's losing due to his appearance.

He's actually garnered a considerable amount of support given the fact that he's come in second on numerous occasions while pushing for ideas that are radical in nature.

He's fighting an uphill battle precisely because his views are very different from the mainstream.

We're not used to having a true Constitutionalist actually run for president. A lot of people posture as if they are one, but few actually walk the walk.

As a consequence, many of his ideas might seem strange or even crazy. Even though I agree with a lot of Paul's stances, I still have to admit that some of his views are a little extreme.

I wouldn't want to disband the IRS or EPA, for example.
