How will the "Real" Unemployment Rate of 12.2% affect Obama's reelection chances?

Even at 12.2% that is much too kind, 17 is probably much more realistic.

How can the unemployment rate matter?

According to Republicans, everyone is out of work because they are slackers on welfare, turning down job after job because $200/mo food stamps and $320/month in welfare provides such a "FANTASTIC lifestyle" of lobster, booze, drugs, big screen TVs, new SUVs and everything else the Right Wing says the unemployed are partying it up on!

The only real issue here is, which candidate can articulate this issue best? I still think it's Newt. Whether it be on debates on interviews, he's going to frame this issue in a way voters can understand it. I'm not sure Romney will.

Yet another issue Romney's going to have problems with considering his church affiliation. But I digress.
