There we go again! So silly!:puke:
I guess it is really more important to the Right to show that the economy is bad so that Obama is not reelected, rather than do what needs to be done to keep the economy going in this time of worldwide recession!

Hypocrisy of the Right, again! Anyone surprised by it?

Print more money, that'll fix it. We gots plenty of ink.

Thing is, the stuff you would print is worth less than the ink used to print it.

But it does make perfect sense.

    Republican idiotcy...

    1) We can not raise taxes. Obama is just greedy and wants to steal money, it is class warfare.

    2) We can't cut the military. Obama wants to weaken this country and it will result in terrorist attacks.

    3) I can't believe there is a deficit. Republicans are the fiscally responsible ones. We object to raising the debt ceiling.

    Reality:
    1) Tax rates at Ronald Reagans levels are now somehow socialist, but they seemed pretty capitalist at the time. And the economy was doing well. Republicans would call Reagan a commine pinko socialist today.

    2) 9/11 would not have been stopped by a military with twice the troops, planes and bombs.

    3) Republicans rant up massive deficits and spent like drunken sailors the last time they were in power. They have never taken the course they claim to want of small government when they have been in power. Heck, the last time they were in power they passed the largest entitlement program since the 50's. Republicans are NOT fiscally responsible.

Actually to fix the economy you CUT you don't continue to spend.

Pigs will fly when liberals understand this simple concept.

Do we really want another round of partisan gamesmanship on the debt ceiling? The last time we did this the USA lost its AAA credit rating. I wonder what negative effects we'll have this time. Perhaps if both the Republicans and Democrats loved this country half as much as they pretend to they would behave like adults and find a compromise and stop posturing.

Considered the fact that the US dollar has gone up in value since Obama took office everything you just said is pure ignorance.
More deficit financed government spending is exacly what we need, consternating the fact that a) Interest rates on government debt are negative (meaning the government makes money), b) there is massive unemployment, c) economic capacity is at 70%

Well we have been trying that for the last 50 years.......

.....when dont we need more (D)ebt and (D)eficits?

We have tried spending money. We are spending more money than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just none interest, and if I am wrong . . . somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job, I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. . . . I say after eight years of this administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started . . . . And an enormous debt to boot!
-----Henry Morgenthau---Treasury Secretary to FDR and The Raw Deal

Obama will have added 6 Trillion dollars to the (D)ebt before The Kenyan Turd is flushed in November........$6,000,000,000,000.00 in just four years........

Just imagine for a moment that we could rewind to 2000, and swing just a few thousand votes in Florida the other way (or not throw away ballots by the thousands like Jeb and Katy did). We had a budget surplus and were on target to pay down the existing deficit AND fully fund Social Security and Medicare. That was BEFORE a 1.5 trillion dollar tax cut that did NOTHING but create an economic housing and financial bubble that crashed twice over the next 10 years, leaving people with 10 year running earnings on their investments of single digit returns TOTAL (not annually), if not leaving them in the red over 10 years (the first time in the modern era that ever happened).

Then, that same administration, that irresponsibly gave away the government budget surplus to the wealthy, gave trillions more over the last decade to private pharmacuetical firms in the form of Medicare Part D. A worthless handout of government funds directly to the private healthcare industry that has rewarded US citizens with out of control cost increases and left too many without insurance of the ability to pay their premiums (of God forbid their actual healthcare).

To top that off, that SAME administration, after abandoning fiscal responsibility through the irresponsible tax cuts and behemoth private funding of the healthcare industry, decided to start TWO wars with nothing but deficit spending. They did NOTHING to fund those wars with any actual real revenue source, and they gave trillions in freebie handout contracts to their friends (and themselves) in the defense industry.

As one last FU to the American people, they then essentially lit the fuse on the ticking time bomb of deregulated financials that they had ignored during their irresponsible handout to private industry. As they left office, they left with private industry now holding a knife to the throat of the taxpayer proclaiming that if they didn't get one last paycheck from the government, they were going to collapse the entire country in one fail swoop.

Had Gore been in office, Medicare D would not exist. Deregulation of the financial industry would not exist. A budget deficit would not exist. Tax rates would be far more sustainable and the wealth gap between the richest Americans and the far more employed and satisfied middle classes would not be as massive as it is. Social Security would be fully funded. Medicare would be fully funded. We would not have started the war in Iraq (leading the deaths of 100's of thousands of human beings). And most likely, you wouldn't have Obama in office as a backlash to Bush's and the Republicans irresponsibility.

Our nation would so much better off if we had simply stopped EVER electing Republicans for ANYTHING 2 decades ago. I hope that America has finally learned its lesson. If watching the circus of clowns running in the primary this cycle won't teach them, then we deserve to burn to the ground as a nation as so many Tea Party idiots want us too. It makes me want to vomit. :puke:

Again with the tea party? And burn to the ground?

It's your lovely patriotic spokes-group known as Occupy Everything that are leaving destruction in their wake. All in the name of YOUR ideology.

Even their theme song cries out they will roast us like pigs, burn our homes and use our blood as their paint. Everyone of them and anyone who is connected should be placed on the terrorist watch list.

So the mere act of WE THE PEOPLE keeping more of our hard earned money.......causes economic crashes? You seriously believe that?

Federal Tax Revenue After The Bush Tax Cuts
    [IMG]

    Tax cuts dont cause (D)eficits.......

You sing the praises of Medicare and Medicaid.........and have the nerve to criticize Part D.......unreal.

..........with the support of a Majority of Democrats in Congress.

That fuse was lit the very moment Fannie and Freddie were conceived......

A belief that an enviromental leftist nut job would have improved ANYTHING........is truely a detachment from reality and common sense.

Your ideology is a complete fraud and utter lie.......with a 100% Failure rate .

Were you unable to use google to post that in the OP? If google is so easy to use, why not just include your source in the OP? We're lazy for not using google, but you are NOT lazy for not using google? LOL!

I always find it hilarious that people whine about being asked to provide sources on here. We shouldn't need to ask for them. They should be included by default by whoever starts the thread.

I just brought the headline. It's not my fault you need everything done for you, although I'm sure it's difficult with the TV remote in one hand and a bag of Cheetos in the other.

    That was the deal.

Obama gets to raise the debt limit, and the Republicans in Congress get to whine about it.

    Both sides go home happy.
