I believe its part of the liberal/democrat plan to unite the world in hippy peace where the government takes responsibility of the people.

The guy that repealed Glass-Steagall, lobbied for the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 by intimidating Brooksley Borne to her knees, and participated in the financial business model that destroyed the economy is going to head an international finance fund? What happened to thinking before acting?

I know why the right hates him, but why does this guy get so much support from the left? Jesus.

I guess I never knew that it was our responsibility to fill that position. Why is the U.S. filling that job?

He gets support from those on the left that forward a crony capitalist economy. I consider Bill Clinton to be a good President, but one of his biggest mistakes was giving in to Congressional Republicans on financial deregulation. Since then, Democrats have been caught in an unholy alliance with finance. Before then, the biggest mistake by Democrats in regards to financial legislation was the passage of the CRA.

No it shouldn't exist. In fact, if it has to exist, we should be donating nada to it. No money, no CEO.

Since Clinton conceded to Congressional Republicans during the 1990's and early 2000's by forwarding financial deregulation, and providing key financial leaders with government positions, Democrats have been in an unholy alliance with banking elites.

Liberals have no logical sense at all, so please don't be surprised.

I would not say that. Many people would characterize me as a liberal. As you can see through my posts, I am a staunch critic of the decision to appoint Summers to the head of the World Bank.

Are you saying that Clinton adopted his friendly relationship with the financial sector by choice? No, it was out of pure political maneuvering and concession on his part.

    Posters,

If you do not know the importance of why destroying Glass-Steagall was so entirely corrupt, please educate yourself. I would highly recommend a book called Crisis by Design for this education.

Barack Obama has no shame if he is willing to make this monstrous pile of crap the head of the World Bank. The sad part is Bush would have likely done a similar thing. We need NON-ESTABLISHMENT leaders.
