It was recorded Alexander the Great had bisexual orientation...

But was most of his time out in his military campaign he really had affection for Hephaestus his childhood friend?

And does he have roots in Illyria?

First there is some guy concerned about Leonardo's sexual orientation .
Now we have Alexander the Great .
What about Putin ? Bent as a corkscrew I hear .

it's hard to put today's sexual labels on people from another era. It was pretty common in Alexanders day for men to have sexual relations with either sex. I am not so sure they had firm 'this is homosexual, that is heteorsexual' attitudes.

He married two women, had a long term relationship with two males that we know of...but was that any different from what most men did back in that time period? I doubt it.

not sure what you mean about Illyria..

Aristocratic Greeks were into that sort of thing, as any reading will tell you. Why is such an obvious point worth discussing?

do you also know Roman-Greco world based its labor from slavery?

And you do admit the aristocrats were pan-sexualists?

There is a good possibility Alexander the Great may have shqip albanian lineage and I even myself can prove it ..

    Its very interesting.

    1) Genetic tests were done by people in wales england and found direct genetic correlations of some people of wales with ethnic albanians who live in kosovo.

The researchers were surprised and didn't know how it happened?

So they found out Romans had sent a legion from the balkans into what is now modern day britain ...These legionaiires were foriegners from Thrace or modern day bulgaria according to roman records.

    interesting...

another interesting fact are the genetic results of some pashtun tribesman in afghanistan and some parts of pakistan to have correlations with the same genetic resullts in macedonia and kosovo.

pakistan and afghanistan were places alexander had gone to conquer those areas.

The Classical world was a slave society, of course, and all patriarchal societies need legitimate children for the slave-owners, thus mistreatment and dominance of women. In ancient Athens and other Greek societies a romantic homosexual paedophilia was highly fashionable. You seem to feel you are arguing with me. Are you?

This seems to have got rather deeply involved in contemporary disputes. The classical Greeks clearly considered Alexander to be an - okay, a bit borderline - Greek, because he spoke Greek and knew his Homer, though the sort of Greek was Macedonian. We can't do DNA samples on the man, and who wants to? Culture is all that counts, surely?
