Obama is a christian, and in Christianity considers Sunday to be the Sabbath Day. On the Sabbath day, work is forbidden. Would you mind if President Obama did not do any work on Sundays, keeping to Christian tradition?

I would prefer if he would take Monday through Saturday off as well. That way he can't hurt us as much. He needs to play more golf with members of Congress - all day, every day.

Well, would you want a commander and chief who did not take time to consider the future? To think? To set a path forward?

Most of the day to day work gets done by a staff at that level, and as President, he is far more of a manager than a completer of tasks. It would be good for any leader to take time and consider a path forward rather than get mired in details.

That, utimately, is the point of the Sabbath. A time to contemplate, to enjoy family rather than just work, etc. Any President who doesn't do that?

Obviously, crisis are an event aside, but for the day to day grind - A day of respite is a good thing.

Everyone needs a day off, even the president.

The point of the Sabbath is a time of rest, in honor of God resting on the 7th day. From a jewish standpoint, Christians violate the sabbath by going to church. You are not supposed to leave your house, in the original tradition, or cook, or dlo anything else that can be considered labor.

Do you like to say the president of the United States works on Sunday? Why?

    Luke.14
    [1]
One sabbath when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they were watching him.
[2] And behold, there was a man before him who had dropsy.
[3] And Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?"
[4] But they were silent. Then he took him and healed him, and let him go.
[5] And he said to them, "Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well, will not immediately pull him out on a sabbath day?"
[6] And they could not reply to this.

I don't agree that Obama is pulling our ass out of the deep well he's sunk us in, but I'll let him try--even on Saturdays & Sundays (if he's not golfing, that is...)

I highlighted your mistake in red. Which makes the rest of your question irrelevant.

Fine with me. I haven't seen any evidence that he does work on Sundays. He can take Saturday off as well. No government business of any consequence happens on the weekends anyway.
