It is inevitable that Barak Hussein Owebama will use the words "we have more work to do, or some variation of them in his State of the Union speech tomorrow night.

The only question is how soon into the speech will he introduce this tired old cliche which is political speak for "we screwed up"?

You lost this argument centuries ago, when Social Contract theory was accepted across western civilization. The DoI and the Constitution are social contract documents. If you don't like that, move elsewhere. I'd suggest Somalia, which has none of the social contract anti-liberty stuff that you hate.

I would expect as there is more work to do, that saying more work to do is appropriate.

Unless, of course, complacency is what is need, and in my fine and correct opinion it is not.

Certainly over the last 6 months all indicators say taht the economy is in a upswing. Sales are up. Unemployment has steadily been falling.

However, I would expect a president, Republican or Democrat, to state that more work is needed.

Absolutely no argument. The question is how soon will Mr. Owebama resort to this thread bare cliche?

He doesn't need to say it anymore. Its considered his normal platform along with blaming Bush for all problems. He could be president for the next 20 years and he would still be blaming Bush for every bad stat under his administration.

He absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for any poor performance and will always say, It takes time to get us out of this mess".

The correct title and name is President Obama. Your intentional denigration of both his name and his title detracts from any validity that your thought may have had.

I answered the "question" in my first post in this thread. Putting a time limit on it seems a bit on the odd side as not having seen or heard the speech there really is no way of knowing.

A small one. Not enough to turn things around. The recovery is in the ICU.
    From Christmas.
    DNC talking point ^.

Because so many people have fallen of the rolls AND have given up looking.

    Incorrect.

You know, if you are going to attempt tio correct me, it is probably best to be correct.

Really? You have some evidence of that? By all means let's whip out those numbers and see how unemployment has steadily dropped over 6 months due to "so many people fallen off the rolls".

Let's see it. Support your statement. Show the world how right you are.

No, it doesn't. And certainly not because you say so.

MR. Obama gets the respect he's earned, and he hasn't earned respect. He defiles the Office of the Presidency and disrespects the Constitution and Congress.

I don't serve you. You don't get to make demands of me.

The economy is on life support. Any gains are too small to matter. Your SPIN on things does NOT negate what people know in their gut: We continue to be worse off under Obama.

We'll see in November if he's conned enough public school victims into giving him 4 years to harm America.

    Excellent.

Then we will agree your charge is unsupported.

Additionally, my citation showed I was indeed correct and your other statement was incorrect.

Let's examine the exchange, shall we?

    I stated the following.

Certainly over the last 6 months all indicators say taht the economy is in a upswing. Sales are up. Unemployment has steadily been falling.

You said sales were up because of Christmas.

I then provided an article that supported my statement that sales have been up over the last 6 months.

    http://www.usatoday.com/money/indust...ber/51866224/1

    In short, you were incorrect.

Now what is your argument here? that despite being proven to be wrong you are not wrong? Despite my presenting fact that shows your statement to be incorrect it is not incorrect?

Thanks for that. Some people hope for, dream of and likely even pray FOR the economy to continue to decline... merely because it supports the BS so many Republicans and others on the Right have sought to sell Americans via fear, anger and hatred.

In ANY case... BOTH of the two main parties should be working HARD to get as many people back to work as possible.

That is the bottom line, IMO.
