All Ron Paul bashers say that he won't be able to get anything put into law without CONgress' support. The solution is to give him a Congress that will support him. There is Senate and House elections this year ya know. Duh!!!

So quit using that as one of your arguments.

He's in 4th place in the Republican primary and getting slaughtered. There is not even a hypothetical chance of figuring out what Congress would do with him.

He hasn't managed to gain the support of Congress in 22+ years. Nothings changed.

Keep in mind that during his entire term in Congress Paul introduced only eight pieces of legislation that passed.

So you're saying a leader should be based upon how many pieces of legislation he passes and not what his voting record is like??

Actually the current standings are not accurately correct. Many places are showing their results WITH what their interpreted calculation of the Iowa delegates are....those haven't been released yet so he could be last...he could be 3rd....hell I will even go as far as saying he could be 2nd!!

Not much of a retort. But no surprise from a Paul worshipper.

Face it, Paul is effectively finished. His campaign has stalled. He and Santorum should drop out.

Exactly. You want a functional ineffective which is why you'll waste your vote on Paul.

Krypt, I believe that is Jason's measure of effective leadership. Quantity not quality. He isn't the only one though, I have seen that as an argument over and over again and It's quite sad.

I don't care if he is in 38th place. I vote based upon my conscience and not the neoconscience mindless robot partyline. Bush, Obama, Romney, Gingrich...all the same to me.

HERE IS EFFECTIVE LEGISLATION BY YOUR EFFECTIVE LEADERS THAT RON PAUL INEFFECTIVELY VOTED AGAINST.

Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act
    Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act
Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
    Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP)
    Community Reinvestment Act
    Economic Stimulus Act of 2008
Financial Derivative Regulation / Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000
    Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002
Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000

It's not Paul that's functionally ineffective, it's Congress. If Congress wasn't corrupt, many of Paul's pieces of introduced legislation would have passed.

Are you seriously suggesting that with the exception of Paul the entire rest of Congress is corrupt?

Paul would never get the support of Congress because he refuses to compromise on anything as his voting record proves. You will never get a majority of Congress who shares the same views as Paul. There are never even enough people running for office who share his views.

In 22 years he couldn't even become Speaker of The House,. He isn't (obviously) high on their "like chart". You must be one of the guys on the Interstate hanging over the ledge with a Ron Paul sign waing like mad so we can see your hero's name.

You all act like he has no character when he is the only one with character.
The arguments against him are so shallow it makes me want to puke. Let's talk about issues. How about these for starters?

Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act
    Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act
Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
    Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP)
    Community Reinvestment Act
    Economic Stimulus Act of 2008
Financial Derivative Regulation / Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000
    Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002
Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000

All of which were key to the 2008 ecconomic crisis.
Are any of you or your candidates for repealing any of these?
    If so, which ones?
    Why?

Im as huge a ron paul supporter as you or anybody else is here however, you got to remember, the majority of congress is bought off and paid for with rare exceptions like paul and dennis kucinich so i dont see how that will happen.

As much as I respect Ron Paul and his followers, and I will vote for him if nothing better comes up, I still have to wonder how is he even allowed on the media circus if not for his old age or perhaps something else that I can suspect but is not worth even mentioning. That Ron Paul is a sincere and a wise man there can be no doubt.

They are not bought off. Who do you think is buying them off? Do you have actual names of people buying them off or are you just assuming. I hate uneducated posts like this.

You are right, the arguments against him are shallow and often straight lies. And Its by the same 3 people all the time. Ever forum I am on has 2-3 that do the same. I am not sure if they are doing it on purpose to rile up ron paul supporters because they need attention or if they just like being negative all the time.

It's more likely that they're trying to make you face the fact that Paul is a functional ineffective who has no congressional support.

Are you suggesting they are not? Have you seen the approval rating lately? How about the 60 Minutes piece on insider trading. Are Pelosi and Boehner facing trial?

    Of course not.

Frustrated people always say that Congress is corrupt usually without a shred of evidence. Is there some corruption? Of course, but you can't take the few cases in a report by 60 minutes and extrapolate that to the entire Congress.
