Not surprising. People are starting to learn more and more about Romney and their not liking it. He's a corporatist and brings back scary memories of Dubya.

He's also the Republican best shot.

polls with registered voters are never as accurate as those with likely voters.

    From the same quote....

Again, polls of likely voters are always more accurate.

Can you also show us the polling demographic for this poll? thanks

First of all the ABC polls ALWAYS somehow magically tick up Obama's % no matter what the question. After Romney is the official GOP (as I predicted he would be on this forum a year ago BTW) choice we'll see what 'unbiased' pollsters find. I can PROVE anything using a poll designed to elicit the answer I want based on the question and who I chose to ask. You learn that in ten poly-sci. I can go to a R.P. rally and ask those leaving afterwards: "Do you believe pot should be legalized?". Or I could be Ed Schultz and ask the thirty people who watch his show "Do you think public sector union bosses need more money to fight the union busting GOP?". Well.......? My point exactly.

This really isn't a surprise, and I would stipulate it will be a similar election result.
Now, Democrats shouldn't feel too proud, simple because Obama can win only against someone even most Repubs are only behind because the media tells them he is the only one who can win, besides being anything but a Conservative .
It was so in 2008, when the Reps had been presented with McCain, and it will be so this time around.
The only worthwhile candidate is being dismissed by those who rather give lip service to the Constitution, so Obama will win because the other side is easily duped, not because he actually amounts to anything worth a cent.

If anything, he is Obama's best shot.

One tinny problem for Obama: The REPs would nominate Charley Manson to run against Obama IF they knew Charlie would win. This time round the 'Black' vote is going to be WAY down because Obama never made anything better for the Blacks like they were convinced he would. The level of hated towards Obama's 'ram-it-down-your-throat' socialist ideology is palatable. The UR rate will be close to 9% by election day. Now Obama has decided to take on the RC church. Can you say 'Hispanic'? If Obama backs down in the face of the multi million potential RC voter loss he'll be seen as weaker than he already is with his 'base'. Dear old Axelrod is on the horn to Obama right now: "WHAT THE **** WERE YOU THINKING BARRY?! " NOW YOU JUST GET ON THE PHONE AND CALL DINARDO OR WHOEVER AND TELL HIM YOU HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THAT YOU PERSONALLY ARE GOING TO PUT AN END TO SUCH A RIDICULOUS BILL. Yes she's fine." 'Click'.

The party of McLame and Dole could easily lose this. McRomney isn't a conservative and has already stepped on his dick a number of times. Intrade puts Obama re-elect at 59% so even after the 5% lefty oversampling he's a projected winner.

    Buh bye, America.

You and I both know that the only poll taken, that matters is the big nationwide poll taken on election day.

Likely voters polls are less accurate than registered voters polls until about 1-2 months before the election. Too much uncertainty in the assumptions made about who's "likely".

Regardless, right-wing Rasmussen LV poll has Obama up 6 also.

if Romney couldnt beat Mccain in the GOP primary...and Mccain couldnt excite republicans in a general....how exactly is Romney supposed to excite republicans enough to beat obama?

other than convincing them Obamas the devil?

    Where was the poll taken..
If it was in or near a larger metropolitan urban area..it would not bode well for Romney right now.

I have seen straw poll after straw poll show Ron Paul the winner in every state .Even those he got crushed in.
I have seen straw polls giving the win to MB..Perry and newt ..Santorum.
newt has the ONLY any real win in a home court state other than Romney.
the others got CRUSHED so far.
A Poll taken at this moment in time means NOTHING other than the typical show Obama is strong and the Republican is weak tactic.

Only sheep would find it gratifying and useful...or the press which wants a state by state SLUG FEST for advertising dollars.
After every state they play the fact it isnt over...I wonder why Palin wants it to continue..who DOES SHE WORK FOR ?

The tea party ? newt ? or FOX ?
Why isnt she out there for newt at every stop ?
She is too busy making the big money for FOX..she sold her SOUL for dough.
