This has made national news on CNN and Fox News recently. This young woman was abducted from her place of business last Wednesday on February 1st, 2012. She was apparently abducted at gunpoint, the coffee stand she worked at was robbed, and she has not been seen since that night. Since then, the Koenig family has gone VERY public over her abduction, has issued a citywide lookout for her, the local cops and as of yesterday the FBI have gotten involved in the investigation, and there is widespread support for her recovery. There is a possibility due to the FBI's involvement in the investigation, her entry into the national missing person's database, and the national news coverage of the abduction, that she might no longer be in Alaska anymore. Here is the latest report on the progress of the case: And a plea from Samantha's father to help find her and bring her home:
I've been watching this on the news..... I sure hope she comes out of this alive - most of these kidnap cases, the victim doesn't.....
we've been led to believe that someone always sees or knows something. And that the police are inexhaustible in their investigations. All this is not so. WHERE are these people disappearing to?? Are they being spirited out of the country immediately? WHERE do you hide a body? Or for that matter, how do you hide a young woman? Something is not right here and i can't help but suspect that our law enforcement knows what that is.
White slavery is what it is called. Young women just disappear then end up laying under some fat rich Arab all drugged-out. The White Slavery trade in Europe is huge.
It sucks to know how these things typically turn out, but, that aside, I hope for the best outcome, and that she makes it back home safe...
They arrested her abductor in Texas. The authorities are still looking for her though. I hope they find her alive instead of a dead body.
excuse the off topic but sex slavery is still alive and well in the world. Not just whites but Latinos, Orientals, Arabs. Some of it is linked to piracy particularly in the Aisan Pacific area. In mideast it is not unheard of for people to sell their daughters and in Thailand young boys and girls are sometimes sold to brothels. The Governments will deny this and do their best to eliminate it of course but it is mostly underground and hard to fight. In the USA illegal immigrants are abused with increasing regularity under the threat that if they protest they will be reported to INS.
I don't believe that your post is necessarily "off topic". We still don't know the circumstances of her abduction, nor why this ******* left his house in West Anchorage and his business to flee all the way to friggin' Texas. They are still calling him a "person of interest" and implying that he wasn't the only one involved in her abduction. This article would actually support the sex slavery argument to a point...
Oh, there is no doubt that this is a huge thing worldwide... Sad that people hold other human beings in such little value...
Yes, we've all seen the movie 'Taken' before. Thanks for your amazing insight into the world of human trafficking.
She did have a history of drug abuse, so it's possible that she could have been kidnapped and sold to a pimp and force-fed drugs to turn her into a drug-addicted prostitute. It's not like that sort of thing never happens, right?
I've always wondered if that's what really happened to Natalie Holloway. It would have been so easy to drug her, put her in a boat and take off. Since they've never found a body, it seems like a real possibility to me.
