Suppose Iran manages to build a dozen nukes. Israel has hundreds of these with the retaliatory capability to destroy every major city in Iran. Its not so much them attacking Israel its other things. Like Iran giving nukes to Venezuela to balance power in the western hemisphere. You really want nukes that close to us with our open border policy?

Many nations do things that they know will result in their destruction. Japan attacking the United States for example in 1941. You had the manned who was ordered to plan the attack practically begging the Japanese leadership not to do it as he fully expected the U.S. to rally and win decisively which it did. But the Japanese were driven by a combination of fear and wishful thinking. Fear and wishful thinking also played a huge role in the beginning of World War One.

From my perspective, the fact that there are so many moving parts in the Iranian situation is a reason why Israel must act immediately to eliminate the problem. The United States must provide better military technology to ensure that Israel is successful if they ask us to.
Does Iran attack Israel constantly? No, their minions do. Will Iran nuke Israel? No, but they may get their minions to. With such a terrorist state it is simply not in the cards nor an option to take the chance. Israel (and perhaps the US) must operate.
If Israel asks, we should provide them with a couple large scale conventional missiles such as the MOAB to help them destroy the nuclear facilities, along with the necessary transport planes if Israel does not receive a C-130 Super Hercules in time. Hopefully Israel will have the aerial vehicles to defend the Super Hercules in hostile territory. However, MOAB's have enough power to destroy any nuclear facility, no matter how far underground.

A few Iranian Nukes would destroy Israel completely. I suspect Iran will not worry to much about the Palestinians
