By two groups... The Oklahoma Center for Conscience and Peace Research (OCCPR) and... the country of Iceland. http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/20313/2/ Interesting company "the most bad guy killingist president in US history" keeps. :: Can we stop calling this a Peace Prize? Can we call it the "Favorite Anti-US Irrational Liberal" now?
check out the bottom of there website peace for the global new world order community ok it didnt say all that.. http://centerforconscience.org/about/
they cannot do this because they gave the President a peace prize and it will ruin the reputation of everyone with a peace prize also one peace prize holder cannot condemn another as that is a mockery of the entire system and the obama adminstration spoke out against manning
it seems like manning and obama are on the same page regarding nobel peace. If obama was in manning's position he'd exactly the same. if manning was in obama shoes he'd do exactly the same. The same motives, the same goals, the same justification of the same prize.
I agree with that. Several Nobel Peace Prize winner were murderers (Obama, Arafat, Kissinger). If they give it to an honest chap as Manning, they will ruin the reputation of the killers.
manning committed treachery against his own people and country, he cannot be compared with arafat/obama who kill for their people and country.
...... I think Bradley Manning deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his decision in whistle-blowing of the murders done by American soldiers in the war zones. His action showed that there is still morality in America despite the Pentagon's insistence in getting rid of Manning either by a death sentence, by dishonorable discharge, or life in prison for his part in passing classified information to journalists. His treatment of being kept naked in solitary for months without being charged constitutes torture which America has seemed to delight in using. I think Bradley Manning is a true hero...much more so than those soldiers that killed unarmed men, women and children in a one-sided battle in Iraq. There are the innocent and the guilty in this story, and the Military Courts have got it all wrong this time....they are the guilty of not wanting to face the true issue of whistle-blowing while in the service.
The nobel prize has been a joke in my eyes ever since 2004 when they gave it to al gore for making a movie over the other nominee... a woman who smuggled three thousand children out of the Warsaw ghtetto's in WW2 then got many of them reconnected to their families after the war.
Murders? You mean blowing up those armed guys who the reporters were with? The pilot followed protocol. They did not "murder" anyone. War is hell. War photojournalism is dangerous. You hang out with the enemy, you might get killed by the good guys. Unless you are talking about something else. Please... demonstrate what Manning "blew the whistle" on.
Now Manning?! What the hell is wrong w/those people? Arafat, a dictator! Passed over an exceptional woman who rescued 1000's of kids during the war and gave it to GORE b/c of a dam movie! Obama didn't do anything except win the election and now this traitor... There's no 'honor' or integrity in the Nobel Peace Prize anymore - they've turned it into nothing but a bad joke.........
That's the gal! I read her story (can't remember her name now) and that Gore, the gawdawful bore was chosen over her b/c of his stupid movie! I was LIVID! The Nobel Peace Prize has really gone to hell in a hand basket....... They might as well give it to Charles Manson! They've turned it into noting but a cheap, meaningless trinket.......
...... A US army intelligence analyst was today charged with leaking a highly classified video of American forces killing unarmed civilians in Baghdad and secret diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks. Private Bradley Manning, who had a top-secret security clearance, has been held in military custody in Kuwait since his arrest in Iraq in May over the video, which caused great embarrassment to the US military establishment. It showed an air strike that killed a dozen people, including two Iraqis working for Reuters news agency. The air crew is heard falsely claiming to have encountered a firefight in Baghdad and then laughing at the dead." see: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jul/06/bradley-manning-charged-iraq-killings-video
