    Quote on Contraception.:
" It’s not okay because it’s a license to do things in the sexual
realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be."

Hmmm. Do I have to wear a sweater vest while doing it Rick? So if I don't want to raise eight kids, my wife and I have to just uh, stop??? No thanks.

So much for less invasive government!

    Thank you.

    And IMO:

His main argument seems to be based on religion. Fine for debating one on one, but making laws based on it, can't do. So he has a secondary one, it encourages sex, so we shouldn't have them. To be honest, I think he went through a time machine, and skipped his teen years. We've all had that high school crush. It appears Santorum would push for just absitence. Wouldn't it be smarter to teach both absitence and safe sex?

You seem to suffer from a condition that would get you ostracized from today's GOP: Common sense.

I'll bet he does it with his socks on. He seems like that kind of guy.

"Honey... not NOW!!! The lights are still on!"

I do it like they do on the Discovery Channel... well, at least I did until I took an arrow to the knee.

Of course, it's because I suffer from common sense. I wanted all my life to serve in the GOP. But then, it struck me. I was 15. I didn't know what to do. Doctors were left wordless. And when I went to the GOP convention that year, (Cry) they said I was sane, and couldn't join them.

In all seriousnesss, I don't think the average Republican lacks common sense. Republican politicans on the other hand....

I disagree. I read a rather long article today and it really does seem like the common Republican voter lacks common sense. They seem to be easily misdirected to the point where they are willing to vote against their best interests.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/12/u...-on-it.html?_r=1&scp=7&sq=entitlements&st=cse

It mostly anecdotal but I find that it provides an interesting look into the cognitive dissonance that voting Republican must create for anyone making under $250,000 a year.

If you have trouble getting into that link, go here and click on the link that way:

For some reason the original NYT article is tossing up a login page for some links to that article...

    1. Isn't the NY times a left leaning paper?
    2. Critizing welfare, doesn't mean you're a republican. It most likely means you're a conservative. Idelgoly, parties, two differnt things.

I got it. Thank you anways.

Santorum is a control freak, imo.

    Both parties suck.

All the candidates suck (except Paul - who has virtually no chance)...which means most voters suck (at politics and common sense).

    America is doomed.

Completely agree! And I never wanted to be a Republican. . .even when they were not flirting with insanity and extremism! :|

I've lived all over the world. This is the only country on Earth, where people making under $60K have been brain-washed to the point of believing that it's the Rich who need protecting. Anywhere else in the world, they would laugh you out of the country for being so daft.
And don't get me wrong, I'm all for success but seriously, The Machine has done an admirable job of hypnotizing the masses.

Not true. A complete misconception. What the president cares to do or not do in his own bed, I could care less about. He's not going to call for any drastic measures, so you can stop sweating.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a theocrat has zero chance of winning the general election, it's disturbing and very telling of the GOP that this guy is even a consideration.

Unless they're giving me two votes this time around that's not even possible, why don't you make an attempt at being on topic though instead of hurling baseless accusations at someone who you mostly clearly no nothing about.
