Geithner is full of horse crap and the fake Hobson's Choice he presents is absolute nonsense! He trots out the same tired old lie that got us to the precipice of this cliff in the first place. I'm sick of Big Government liars. Sick to death!

Turbo Tax Timmy Geithner. He may not pay his fair share, but everyone else should.

.... and asshat, I was BORN and American. Was it my son's privilege to inherit the massive debt you authoritarian statists created?

The Obama administration will go down in history as the class warfare administration. Its going to be an ugly recital in history classes all over the US in decades to come.

So we owe the privilege of being fortunate to being American, to government handing our money out to those people who can't support themselves.

    LOL

    Man, the logic is unreasonable.

Maybe if more people were like those "fortunate" rich people, we would have a country that would be the super power on a level nobody could comprehend.

"We're going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share," he thunders to a crowd in Georgia. Such tax loopholes, he adds, "sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying 10 percent of his salary – and that's crazy."

Preacherlike, the president draws the crowd into a call-and-response. "Do you think the millionaire ought to pay more in taxes than the bus driver," he demands, "or less?"

And you wonder why his administration is loathed and despised by so many Americans.

Gee, it is rare you hear conservatives calling Reagan and Bush authoritarian statists.

The debt... here is an explanation that maybe even Liberals can understand.

I was upset with W. Bush's spending, but now am outraged at Barack Obama's.

Both Reagan and Bush increased spending far faster than Obama has. And neither of them had to deal with the worst recession in 80 years.

So why give a pass to Reagan, an "upset" on Bush (who inherited a surplus) but Obama warrants an "outrage"?

Only if you think tripling the deficits and debt like he did is a good idea.

You clearly are lying and did not watch the video. 4 TRILLION is Barack's Number in 3 years. Reagan, HW Bush, and W. Bush never came close to that those dollar amounts and they were in office for a collective 20 years.

I'm not lying at all. You've just been mislead by the conservative propaganda you listen to.

    Year - Outlays

    Obama
    2009 3,518.2
    2010 3,455.8
    2011 3,601.0
    Percent increase: 2.4%

    Bush
    2001 1,862.9
    2002 2,010.9
    2003 2,159.9
    Percent increase: 15.9%

    Reagan
    1981 678.2
    1982 745.7
    1983 808.4
    Percent increase: 19.2%

    Source data: CBO.gov.

Reagan and Bush increased spending far faster in the comparable time period of their first two full years in office. To be fair to Reagan, the data is not inflation adjusted and a few percentage points increase for him can be attributted to higher inflation.

The last year of Bush and the past three of Obama already have.

    Obama Deficits Bush Deficits
    FY 2012: $1,327 billion FY 2009: $1,413 billion
    FY 2011: $1,300 billion FY 2008: $459 billion
    FY 2010: $1,293 billion FY 2007: $161 billion

Go from $459 billion to 1.4 trillion, 1.29 trillion, 1.3 trillion and 1.32 trillion. I'd say we have more than exceeded Reagans increase. Total increase in debt under Reagan 1.656 trillion in eight years. Obama 2.814 in just three.

And with Reagan we got huge drops in unemployment and massive growth in GDP, none of which has happened with Obama.

Why is it some who claim they're educated can't understand ratios and percents. They think a $$$$ 50 yrs ago is a $$$ today. And the economy and GDP have never gone higher.

What were the outlays in 2008 and 2007? put those in and you see the skew. Go ahead and put in the two previous years for Obama, Bush and Reagan.

FY2012 doesnt' end until Sep 30.

If you want to compare, let's be fair and compare apples to apples, shall we?

At this point in Reagan's term, there was no massive GDP growth or huge drop in unemployment. In fact, at this point in his presidency, the unemployment rate had increased under Reagan by the exact same amount it has increased since Obama took over in the middle of the worst recession in 80 years.

Gee is the $$$ and GDP and size of economy the same? Did the pie get larger?
If Geo Washington increased debt from $1 to $2, would you say he increased it by $1 or 100%. And if Regan increased debt from $10 to $15, who do you say had a larger increase in debt?

Go ahead and compare spending to GDP. See what you get.

Holy Crap! Really???? You buy this propaganda?

Are you trying to tell everyone that Barack Obama's debt increase in 3 years of nearly $4 TRILLION is comparable to Reagan's?

It is not propaganda. It is data from the Congressional Budget Office. Anyone can check the numbers themselves.

No. I said nothing about the debt. What are you babbling about?
