More great news on the Volt. I am all about having an electric car in the market, it just doesn't' seem like its working well with the Volt. Either its GM or the market doesn't want them.

Just another Friday afternoon news dump.

And Government Motors still owes the taxpayers $27 billion dollars.

Another Obama failure.

"GM blamed the lack of sales in January on “exaggerated” media reports and the federal government's investigation into Volt batteries catching fire, which officially began in November and ended Jan. 21," the Ann Arbor (Mich.) News reported."

Is this the same media that's sycophantic about The One?

GM= Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah <sob>

Leave it to conservatives to clap their hands with glee when they hear about American workers being laid off.

I think its hilarious. Lefties try to cram volts down the throat of Americans, but no one will swallow. The volt has been touted as the save all, end all, government sponsored hype job. Know what? Usually you test market a product before you roll it out too far. Guess what, it won't even roll around the block without taking 5 weeks off.

Bu-bu-bu-but GM is the Great Success, remember? The UNIONS have banked MILLION$ while GM still owes the taxpayers, and union members have collected BONUSES worth thousand$, while GM still owes the taxpayers...

Well thats too bad. I can't say it's unexpected, as the Volt has made quite a few bad headlines.

Hope those 1300 jobs are truly only temporary.

from the article

Toyota blamed the lack of sales at the beginning of this year on “exaggerated” media reports and the federal government's investigation into accellerator pedals getting stuck.

nah, I'm pulling your leg, Toyota never said that

Only a company who

had taxpayers bail them out
gets taxpayer subsidies of $10,000 for the car

would also blame everything but the fact that it's an overpriced golf cart which goes a whopping 35 miles and nobody wants

Even with an earthquake, tsunami and a near melt down, the Leaf sold at twice the rate as the ReVolt. The ReVolt symbolizes all that is wrong with a government propping up businesses.

They should go back to making Hummers. They sold a lot more of those than the volts and they were far more profitable for GM.

But I guess when you are a puppet company backed by crony capitalism you don't need to worry about what people want.

Right and if Americans would support GM, instead of saying they'll never buy a GM vehicle, we could get back our $27 billion. All that neds to happen is the stock go back up to what it was selling for 8-9 years ago. But we seem to have some that would rather put them out of business.

They think they need to feed us what they think we should have. Obama should stay out of the free market. He is the kiss of death.
