I support Israel.... After watching this video (and many others), I am having second thoughts. Israelis, defend your mother (*)(*)(*)(*)ing selves [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_k4IwIo398&feature=related"]Pro-Palestinian Women Activists Beaten By Israeli Soldiers - YouTube[/ame]
Plenty more like that around and there is the imprisonment without trial of civilians including children.
It is very very close. Imprisoning/torturing/harassing/stealing land and murdering people on a daily basis virtually. Pretty disgraceful in my book and worse than what happens in Iran.
Israel is turning barren desert into suburbs. Ain't nothing wrong with that. It was anyone's land for hundreds of years and what was it? Barren desert. I don't see how establishing a democracy and a land grab as a big deal- this desert has as much as that desert. At the same token, I am willing to see Israel uproot 10-20% of its population and giving it back to Palestine- to turn it back to barren desert provided land lines get drawn that all sides agree to.
Palestine had lots of people.. Who do you think planted and tended those tens of thousands of ancient olive trees? Israel's mismanagement of water assets is well known since 1970.
Yes- Israel is turning desert that's been desert for the past thousand years into fertile land- good point.
They have destroyed two aquifers and the Jordan River .... and are currently depleting the Sea of Galilee.. all since 1967. Look at the dramatic retreat of the Dead Sea... What do you thnk has happened to the water table in the Jordan Basin?
You seem a little confused. That is not Israel doing the damage, those are Israeli's. . The Palestinians are descended from indo europeans, the philistines and the Israeli's are descended from europeans, the Ashkanazi. It's no wonder this topic is so popular with the europeans. Neither of them are the rightful heirs that is why the conflict will never be resolved.
What? Palestinians are descended from Canaanites, Arabs, Greeks, Syrians, Crusaders and Jewish farmers who remained the the first century AD.
It has been suggested in a few sources I have come across that the Philistines maybe related to the Mycenaen's and be an Indo European ppl. Alternatively the Hebrew Bible appears to suggest a relation to Mizraim. It doesn't appear conclusive.
Philistines probably were sea people from the Greek islands and they too would have contributed to the Palestinian gene pool. But, remember the Bible makes it clear that there were always "others" in Palestine.. called Goyim and/or Gentiles.
"Our race is the Master Race. We Jews are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet and serve us as our slaves." - Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in a speech to the Knesset quoted in Begin and the Beasts," New Statesman, June 25, 1982 by Amnon Kapeliouk There a verification on this quote?
Israel is the only democracy in the middle east. The world needs to support it as much as possible because it's some sort of a pearl in the middle of nowhere.
In Great Britain, we pride ourselves as having 'the Mother of Parliaments'; in the USA, they pride themselves on having the first Democratic Republic; neither has meant that Great Britain or the USA has not committed crimes against humanity. Democracy is but one aspect of a society, and easily over-ridden by self interest, and the perception of national security.
Long live Israel. Three hundred mentally blood thirsty million Arabs can't even defeat tiny Israel, and don't say America is behind Israel because we saw how the Israelis humiliated the Arabs by themselves during the 6 day war. Muslims should admit that they will never defeat Israel because Israel promised to nuke Mecca if it's security and people were ever under the threat of annihilation...good policy!
As if Democracy is this magical word. Some really wretched regimes are erected through a democratic process. But you're right though. Unlike dictatorships, Israel is a democracy and therefore we cannot blame the regime for its crimes but rather Israelis on a personal level for supporting such a state's policies.
Sure. Never happened. Like most things stirred up by anti-semitic chowderheads, it is a bunch of lies wrapped around a nugget of truth to make it seem plausible and give the lie credibility. Here is a good debunking of the quote.
