Read this heart-wrenching story about employers not paying their employees! Told from the perspective of the Director of the Houston Interfaith Worker Justice Center http://constructioncitizen.com/blog...s-fort-bend-mechanical-stafford-texas/1203071
i've worked for companies that went bankrupt and still got my last paycheck, why these bung holes won't pay their worker's is beyond me.
When there is an oversupply of workers, and high unemployment, there will always be desperate workers willing to put up with mistreatment from employers. This can clearly be seen in the shrimp fields in Thailand. The workers are treated like animals in a prison camp. Yet even knowing this, there are always plenty of more impoverished Thais willing to try to get these jobs. They are desperate and do not really have a choice. They try to convince themselves things will not really be as bad as they have heard.
This is almost as bad as insurance companies and corporations cheating employers. trickle down economics.
