Zimmerman vs Trayvon: What a mess-

I said to my hubby the other night, the police ought to charge Zimmerman.

Then I read this. It's written by my friend Minty on another site...

Now I don't know what to think. What a mess.
This is a side of the story I haven't seen in the MSM. Why?
I'm still not taking a position on this. There's too much hearsay to really know what happened. I don't know what happened.
But let's discuss it.

That if Zimmerman was doing his Neighbourhood rounds without a gun that Martin would be alive today?

That's one scenario.

 

I agree it is terrible that he's dead. I dearly hope the whole true facts come out, whatever they are.

 

I don't care about someone's political affiliation if they are producing facts. If I cared I would watch no news program at all.

Do these calls and tapes exist? If so, then once again a partisan war was started in an election year by presenting slanted facts to create divisive public outcry. I must now go and follow links...

I have no problem with Trayvon defending himself against an unknown adult male who is larger than him following him in the middle of the night. Why is Trayvon not allowed to defend himself?

BTW, I don't think Zimmerman is innocent of manslaughter or homicide. I think that using a dead teen boy to further any agenda is a pile of s88t.

Someone's baby, their reason for breathing is dead and gone. No protest rally, presidential phone call, or outpouring of sympathy will ease that mother's spirit. To use her REAL grief to promote a partisan agenda on other side of this stupid divide is shameful.

All of the shallow sympathy and all of the snark does her love for her son a great disservice. SHE misses him. SHE will miss him when people move on to the next Sandra Fluke and forget his name.

That's a little problematic. That would mean the 911 screams were from Zimmerman. That blows a whole in some of my guesses. Luckily that's all they were.

 

That is what it seems. Nobody seems to understand that a young kid being confronted in the middle of the night by an adult who is larger than him and hassling him probably would be a little freaked out. He probably felt he needed to protect himself and got shot. It's disgusting that people only think the guy with the gun is allowed to defend himself. This guy could have been a serial killer for all the kid knew.

 

He has a right to defend himself if it happened at 7 in the morning. 7:30 it is dark out as well at that time of year.

 

I don't know a single conservative that would disagree with this. So then you support the right to self defense. Good! That's a very conservative position.

Apparently these witnesses and interviews exist. I don't know why you're taking this tack. Suit yourself. Deflection to attack the source? Well, go ahead.

This issue is obviously complex. The police haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet.
If they charge Zimmerman before they can investigate thoroughly, that's reaction to mob demands, isn't it.
I want justice. We all do. I just don't know what really happened.

investigate what? if they say theres no crim, what are they going to investigate???

 

SRSLY? A black person committed a crime? Well. then Zimmerman was OBVIOUSLY justified. {/sarcasm} Completely discredits the entire article, IMO.
