I noticed vast majority of the threads here and other political boards are for the most part flame bait, for example:

How Long Should the US Government Sustain an Economically Unsustainable Middle Class?
The US needs to re-instate the draft .
Maybe it's time for a civil war..

I'll go with 50%- half of the threads here are shredder-worthy. Part of the fault lies in bad moderation and part lies in sheer stupidity of the posters.

There are a good portion of topic that are brought up, that hold some relevant points, and are debate worthy.

Then there are a handful of posters on this forum, who post nothing but flamebait.

A majority of these Trayvon Martin threads are flamebait, coming from both sides.

hey, my "maybe it's time for a civil war" post was meant as a why can't we all get along post and if you don't like where you live because it's to liberal or to conservative then start thinking about moving to where your type of folks get along and save everyone from all the fighting and BS..
never meant as flame bait, just a possible solution..

Flamebaiting is the least of the site's worries with racist filth rampant.

Counting this one, about 98% of them, all started by paid GOP hacks.

I have personally grown quite tired of the constant flame baiting. I hope the mods do something about it soon.

Approximately 50%. And another 10-20% that aren't necessarily flamebait but are presented from a skewed, rhetorical position intending to validate the prejudice in the premise rather than discuss the issue openly and learn anything or reach any kind of non-partisan resolution.

Quality threads with honest and open discussion are a rarity on this forum.

There is far too much wanton use of irony on this site.

The mods should do something about it.

Personally, I have never lowered myself to use such childish tactics, when all I ever needed to do was to post good old facts and common sense backed up by my life experiences, adherence to traditions and our Constitution. So, my Conservative outlook on life suggests that the only people left to sink to such a silly sophomoric standard would be the liberal contingent here. Case closed.

The threads you picked show your view. In the end you are doing the same thing you are accusing others of.

I think many thread posters are just looking for people who share their own views to post in agreement. Sort of the choir preaching to the choir.

Sure, some are looking to pick a fight. But isn't that what political discourse is all about?

Honestly...there is only one person I would consider "flame bait". So is that 1%?
