Hold him in "Contempt of Congress", arrest him and toss him in jail for the next 12 months. Then see if those who are under him would care to share his jail cell or cooperate with the Oversight Investigation.

I really don't know if Obama thinks this issue will just go away, but it's just not. There are two dead American Law Enforcement Agents and up to 300 dead Mexican citizens, it's not JUST going away. Barry needs to think of it like an infected boil on his backside, the worse it gets the less likely he'll be sitting on it in the Oval Office come Jan 20th 2013. :toast:

It's all about the slow walk. Delay. Delay. Delay. Keep the real poop from hitting the fan until after the election. There's some non-zero chance of a Dem House in November ending all this and that's plan B.

There's no justice to be had from Justice. Holder is a racist and a criminal and need to be exposed to the masses.

I agree it's damage control....to a point. If Obama doesn't deal with it before, he could end up with it becoming a national campaign ad issue.

300+ people dead because of assault rifles the DOJ knowingly allowed across the border into the hands of murderous drug cartel's. To make it worse they didn't cut it off even after they couldn't track the guns anymore. Someone needs to do jail time.

Internal memo shows ATF rank and file don't trust the brass
March 26, 2012 | Top leaders at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, already under fire from lawmakers in the wake of the “Fast and Furious” debacle, also get harsh marks from the men and women who serve under them, according to an internal survey.

Why would they? They know that the Obama Administration would sell them down the Hudson river in a NY Second.

That's really good to hear. It's good to see people stepping outside the party line. Choosing principal over party.

So, there is either some really (*)(*)(*)(*)ing evidence within those 80k pages, or we must assume that this administration is trying to spare us all a 'dry, boring read'.

If there was nothing in those 80k pages why wouldn't they let Republicans waste their time before the election?

If a individual or organization was under investigation by law enforcement. Used the example set by the DOJ in this incident; what would the assumption of law enforcement be? If there was nothing to hide withholding evidence and individuals taking the 5th amendment would be unusual. If it went no higher than already known, I do not feel as if these tactics would be used.

Obama Orders Launched Fast and Furious

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PNhYk9NuNc"]Obama Orders Launched Fast and Furious - YouTube[/ame]

Project Gun Runner (Fast and Furious) was launched under the orders of President Barack Obama with the knowledge of Attorney General Eric Holder. Deputy Attorney General David Ogden announced the Obama Administration's new and aggressive 'comprehensive plan' on March, 24, 2009. The plan was aimed at disrupting gun trafficking between the United States and Mexico.

They can run, but they can't hide from the truth. This will either be an Obama shining moment by getting to the bottom of who's responsible and seeing to it they are brought to justice or he will continue to flee from the truth hoping it will go away. It won't, it will simply drag his campaign for re-election to the bottom of the river where it will unceremoniously drown.

I am rather hoping the real poop does not hit the fan on this until mid summer. The public's memory is short at times. It would be better to have the impeachment hearings in October and November

Dems will begin to get on the record as being critical of Obama as November's tsunami approaches. They do not want to be swept out to sea with the One and "My People".

I feel that decision has already been made by Obama. If he had wanted to see the truth come out, we would already know what happened. The many comments that were coming from the white house and DOJ before this scandal broke. The statements regarding american guns in Mexico that one could assume were trying to be fulfilled by the operation itself. The extreme silence following the whistle-blowers allowing the operation come to light. The natural appearance of the events would suggest it goes to the highest levels of at least the DOJ. If not the executive branch itself. The lack of outrage from supporters of the administration over the deaths of law enforcement and many Mexican citizens and leaders. It appears Holder has learned alot from Janet Reno on how to cover up deadly government scandals.

If the past is any indication we may never know the full story.

Yes, it does one should expect more from the top law enforcement officials. It is sad how fast they change from prosecutor to defense attorney.
