So there is the question, will Obama call Ann Romney and apologize like he did with Fluke? I would hope so, but this president is not consistent in anything he does.

I applaud Michelle Obama for speaking up, but when will the call to Romney come?

First of all many Republican's and conservatives could care less about labeling women slutes and prostitutes. So why would Republicans or conservatives expect an apology from Obama just because Ann Romney was labeled well off?

I read the thread title. If I may point out there seems to be zero evidence the president apologized to Fluke. There also seems to be no reason that he would, as he did nothing to her.

So it looks like that contention of yours was incorrect.

As for the president calling Mrs. Romney, I would expect that as it appears Mitt and his wife have a very close relationship, she has all the support she needs.

So, in closing, it would appear you set some impossible standard for the president and them criticized him for not living up to that impossible standard.

He didn't call to apologize he called to offer her support and to thank her for talking about the issues that women struggle with. He didn't apologize because he had no reason to. Why would he call to apologize for something he didn't say? Looks like he's done about the same here.

 

Well this is rather embarrassing. The OP, wants an apology to Ann Romney, but has insulted Michelle Obama in the past. Will Consmike call and apologize to MO?

Again this thread makes no sense. Why would Obama have to call Mrs. Romney. She's an adult woman who entered into a political campaign. I don't see why Obama has to apologize directly to her. This thread seems like a twisted attempt to compare Mrs. Romney with Fluke a young lady who came before congress.

And remember Republicans and conservatives could care less about insulting remarks like slut and whore hurled at women . Why make a big deal about this incident?

There is no evidence nor is there any reason to think that the president apologized to Ms. Fluke.

Now that being said, the president condemn the attack on Mrs. Romney. He should have. It was pretty nasty.

 

Yes, I have talked about her. Because she wants to tell people how to eat and how to fee their children. While she eats cheese steaks and fries all over the place.

She seems like a nice woman, good mother though.

I hadn't heard that one!

All I've heard is a talking head. . .unrelated to the Obama campaign. . .stating a not very sensitive, but not untrue fact. . .that Mrs. Romney (although she seems to be a lovely person) was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, a few hundred millions in the bank, never had to work outside her home,
and had the joy to be able to be a wonderful mother. . .with as many nannies and "help" she needed to keep her life comfortable.

I don't think she ever had to meet a restricted budget when going shopping to feed her kids (I guess the cook did that anyway), and I don't think she had to drop any of her kids off to a baby sitter at 7:00 every morning in order to make it to her low paying job on time.

I'm sure Mrs. Romney, being a lovely woman, worked very hard on the board of a few charities, and worried about the live in help having to spend so much time with her kids when she was away. . .

BUT. . .it still doesn't make her a "specialist" on women's economic issues! And that was the whole point of the comment made (insensitive and not very smart comment, I agree with that, but certainly NOT untrue!) that Mrs. Romney never had to WORK a day of her life!

Nothing to do with being called a "slut" or a "prostitute" by a ridiculous mysoginist!
