Greetings and salutations one and all....I'm back to sink the slipper into the Queen of the Trolls and
    all her supporters.

You will recall some time ago I predicted that Anna Bligh would be the second State Labor Premier
to be kicked out of office, after that muppet in NSW. Guess what...the Bligh Government wasnt just kicked out...
it was unceremoniously kicked out...how many seats did they get....3 or 4...even "Mad" Bob Katters party
    got more...

The Queen of the Trolls will be next and the Labor Party will sink into the slimy depths of the Parliamentary
mud-heap, never to be seen again....well at least for 10/20 years or so....

Labor is on the nose in Australia, and anyone that supports the party is a mug...

    Cheers all...:tombstone::tombstone::tombstone:

Good to see we are re-hashing the same old boring and tired arguments, we wouldn't want new fresh thought here would we?

On another thread I posted this, it is nearly as relevant here.

    ... slightly edited .....

The Labor government could do better. The Labor Party could do a lot better. The Labor Party has been taken over by middle-class careerists and as such it has lost touch with working people. Until there is a renaissance of labourism in the Labor Party it will lose voters to the Coalition (the conservative working class voter) while the middle-class voter will go to the Greens. Perhaps the Labor Party should fold and a new social democratic party with close links to the working class be created in its stead. That will take years of work.

As for the Coalition. Marching into the past is the best way I can describe their policies, what they have anyway. If they win the next federal election then we will see Australia going backwards, retreating behind Howard's white picket fence. The only good thing about the conservative State governments in place now is that come the federal election the failures of those conservative state governments will be apparent and people will see that a vote for the federal Coalition is a vote for a reactionary, do-nothing policy set.

Labour doesn`t represent ordinary people any more. Only people simple enough to believe that the unions are there to look after the ordinary working people, would believe such obvious lies.

I've made clear my thoughts on the Labor Party. As for unions, their reason for existence is to look after ordinary working people. Those that don't fulfill that role should be subjected to a thorough clean-out by their members. The Coalition is not interested in protecting working people or the disadvantaged.

I voted for Gillard mainly because she said

"THERE WOULD BE NO CARBON TAX......."

I have always voted for labor.

But this time for the first time ever i'm voting liberal for Tony Abbott even though he is an ninkompoop.

If he promises to unchain us all from the financial slavery the Gillard's and Brown's carbon tax is going to bring home to us all he has my vote.

Because of that lieing red headed bafoon Gillard Labor will be out of office for at least 20 years imo.

If someone can tell me how buying & selling pollution is futuristic or a way forward; then I’m all ears. LOL

This incompetent moronic Government doesn’t even know how much Australian land is owned by foreign Governments or foreign companies, and then they and other are now suggest that the coalition is going to take this country backwards. LOL LOL LOL

Maybe stopping foreign Governments buying & owning your prime agricultural land “might” be a good step forward. LOL LOL

Maybe instead of dishing out $billions in subsidises to foreign owned car companies, it “might” be wiser to buy out the interest of those companies, so all the profits stay in YOUR country and go to YOUR people.

Maybe when a foreign owned company abandons your workers and takes its business to another country, you could place a import tax on their products.

Maybe retailers could be given some tax incentive or rewards for using Australian made and grown agricultural produce over imported produce.

My mother voted Labor all her adult her. As she stated the other night, for the past 20 or so years the ethos of the Labor Party has been hijacked by common union and back room thugs (like Mark Arbib) who’s only interest is getting themselves richer and socially powerful off the employers & workers backs. As she said: “the difference between the union run Labor party and the Sicilian mafia is zero”.

Unions have always been corrupt rake off systems. Admittedly, there have been instances where unions have "supported" workers fighting for a fair deal, although in reality it was the actually workers who supported the union rake off artists who never missed one minute`s pay. People are waking up to the old "you keep paying me to whisper sweet nothings in your ear, while you starve" scam, people are starting to lose that glassy eyed stare, and think for themselves. Unions have amassed massive assett portfolios, all at the expense of their members. Union fat cats lay back and lick the cream out of the dish, while their members work, and pay for their privilege. The unions own the ALP. The greens are beginning to poke their noses into the though.

It`s one to thing to be shafted, it happens to all of us, but it`s another thing to keep copping a shafting, while applauding your shafter.

You've a darkly prejudiced view of unions and unionism, but you're entitled to that view. General smears though are not a substitute for substance.

    http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/politics/whos-that-knocking-on-heavens-door-20120413-1wylh.html

Just one example. I could produce more but a single specific example suffices to deal with your general smears.

The truth is that most unions are run democratically. Some are fiefdoms and those that are should be cleaned out.

The Coalition would like to see all unions disbanded, not because of any alleged improprieties, but because the very existence of collectives of working people is anathema to the Coalition.

I’m not against anyone selling their properties or stuff for a decent profit, but when it comes to foreign Governments buying “freehold” prime agricultural land within your own country, then its time for intervention; regardless of the size of the property or the price.

Write a letter to Gillard and ask her how much prime agricultural “freehold” land Australian owns in other countries like Canada, UK, China and the USA act, ect, and see what the response is?

Please post the reply when you receive it, I would really be interested in seeing it!

Have a read of the like and a look at the map, you might be interested in just how much of Australia is owned by foreign Governments and companies, and how much is being planned in being sold off.

If the land is in private ownership and is being sold off then there doesn't seem to be much that can be done about it. I suppose if the govt tried it they'd be accused of some sort of socialist devilry.

Maybe there's another way of looking at this as well. We have a lot of land, some of it is arable, much of it is only useful for livestock production. In the future, unless the world gets to grips with population growth, there is going to be widespread food shortage. Local wars will be fought over it. Time to start thinking about how food production can be maximised and distributed as necessary and conflict avoided.

Correct me if I`m wrong, but I didn`t think the Foreign Investment Review Board was a private company?

That is where the misconception is made. Australia might be a big country, but its arable land is very small, and only located close to river systems and a few hundred inland from the coast.

Australia consists of 44% desert - 1.3 million square miles and 37% semi arid - scrub, making a total of unsustainable land in Australia of 81%.

This leaves 19% fertile prime agricultural land that’s being sold to foreign Governments and foreign companies.

Yes. The future will see wars being fought over the ability of food production, and that’s why these foreigners are buying Australian prime land now - Australia is a little country with no military defences to speak of, and no one will come to out aid when things turn nasty.

The Review Board are only interested when foreign investment in Australia reaches over $231million. How many prime agricultural properties in Australia get sold for over $231million? LOL it’s a bloody disgrace for any Government to allow another foreign Government to buy “freehold” land in your country like China have done in Australia.

These rotten gutless self-serving politicians have just sold this country from under us under the pretence of investment.

I was going to pose the question .. "why is the Labor Party on the nose"?

The posts on this thread are answering the question quite nicely...

Yes, Labor is on the nose, but we have a terminal stench rising from the Liberals, Greens and the so-called Independents that’s no better. Its so sad we have a race to the bottom, and not to the top anymore.

yes totally agree. We can't even depend upon the good old independent. Oakshot and Windsor certainly put pay to that.

Just wait a while for the silly "surplus at all cost" policy begins to bite. Judas has surplus envy, but hasn`t the sense to help the country grow into a surplus.

Selling Australian land and property to foreigners and foreign investors must be put to a stop. It's been going on far too long.

Yes Labor is on the nose. Some political mistakes, some policy errors and a hostile media have ensured that. The Coalition is able to sit back and take advantage and may win the next federal election.

Then, in spite of a friendly media in Australia, the Coalition will be on the nose.

    And so it goes.

These two cretins (bum-fingers and Winsor) really don’t know what they have done. They have taken the brand “Independent” and flushed it down the toilet, and now we are left with the pathetic Three Stooges - Labs; Libs and Greens.

I put little stock in any mainstream media coverage as they are easily brought. However with all due respect I think the media are split down the middle on their support. On one hand you have Nine which is obviously conservative, and then on Seven it depends on what time of the day or week you are watching. I mean Kochy was so far up Labors bum when Cruddy was the man, as they are very good friends. Then you have that stinking wannabe Charlie Pickering on Tens The Project that loathes anything conservative. Ten to me is obviously ALP aligned as much as Nine is Liberal. Then the ABC, well I don't really think I need to go there. If you are a conservative you are simply not welcome to work there. So to me I believe the media is equally split on favouratism.

Lastly I think the media in this country has a lot to answer to. They have not been unbiased for a very long time. That probably dissappeared when their ethics did.

I saw on another thread that the worlds best Treasurer is donating $7 billion to the IMF...
Beautiful....probably taking it out of the Futures Fund....long live the Queen of the Trolls...
    excuse my sarcasm......

Reminds me of a song from yesteryear...."Ding Dong the witch is dead"......

Another appropriate song by Lynyrd Skynyrd "That Smell"....probably from Canberra....

Strangely enough I notice all the Labor supporters have gone quiet lately....are they bored
with Labors gradual self destruction...or are they just admitting by their silence that the Labor
Party is a dying faction in policitics...
