    Again thanks to all the mods that have worked their butts off on this forum. This one is sometimes fast sometimes slow and sometimes real slow, so slow the ridiculous 20 min expired after i edited a post for grammar then tried to re-post for....20.5 min before it went to the big post hell due to time limit expiring in the virtual sky. To say I was angry losing an 30 min of work is an understatement...anyway I self-righteously went to the key pad and hyperlinked the address to PF4...and got this;

    Database error
The database has encountered a problem.
    Please try the following:

Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
Open the www.forum4politics.com home page, then try to open another page.
Click the Back button to try another link.

The www.forum4politics.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

Are you all sure you dont have a hacker or a number of hackers ha ha I know I am going to get thumped for saying that! I havent seen anything like this...but I do not get into the nuts and bolts of IT either! Thanks to all the Mods and staff that have worked so hard in our site!

I had a database error here a short time ago so I went to F4P, and there was a database error there, too. I have no idea why.

K; I thought it might had been disabled seeing that PF is running faster. Any news on my Avatar problem? I have been sourcing other mods in order to take the work load off you, but you said you would contact the admin or something like that?

I am self taught so I dont know much about the different formats codes etc. My page says that everything is on except for the HTML this is how its posted ; 'HTML code is Off'. Would that being 'off 'disable the avatar thing? I can't post a non custom avatar either nor change the profile pic, I haven't tried to add anything to my albums. I know money ain't an issue but tell her I will make another donation if its fixed anytime soon...haha' just kidding ....I have specific times that I donate...like when I have money....Soooo'....take care Mak, as always thanks for the assistance! .

Rev, under general settings, do you have 'enable avatar' option checked?

Mods do not tweak the forum software, REv, it's an admin thing.

Any suggestions? Seems we all are still lost, no matter who we are.
Seems most have transferred or changed their avatar, so it must be some setting issue, right?

No idea, I haven't tried to change mine.

I just wanted to point out that mods can't do anything about software (mal)functions, it's neither their job nor their expertise, it's done through the admin panel.

My old avatar is up but I can not change it. The use custom avatar feature is enabled. I think it must be the code when I pull it off of photo bucket or my hard drive. If the upload fails it must be something where PFs computer is asking my computer what it wants to upload. I am guessing of course, and the address or avatar location looks fine when I cut and paste it on word etc. I may go to another site that has ready made avatars and try that...thanks so much for the help!

Wait! Ha ha now my old avatar is gone! Let me try some stuff be back in 10 min~

I was hoping that if they can not check the software etc they could ask the admin for me! I am lost as well. At the top of the page where community forum actions advanced search is there is something typed over advanced church....man ! I dont think anything malicious is going on because crap like this hunts me down! Ha ha~ I bet I will have to create a new account and lose all my junk~

I am also unable to upload a avatar. It gives me this error: Unable to save image

Edit: nvm...immediately after posting this...it just showed up. No clue why.

I had the same problem , but not with my avatar .

I'd try to put in a graphic , and it wouldn't accept it .. so ,, I went to the first option , and it accepted it .

The Admin can't address the problem if she doesn't know what the problem is.

    Search don't work...

... it don't work at the top of the main forums page...

... it don't work in advanced search...

... it don't work within a forum under Search this Forum...

    ... plain enough?

Does she not come on this forum at all?? There's at least 5-6 threads now listing bugs, problems, complaints, and more. I find the the fact that she wouldn't know about this stuff rather concerning. Is this forum on autopilot or something??? No wonder it has so many problems.

Evidence supports the possibility that perhaps the Admin is so busy working on glitches (on two forums now it's expected, as if one forum this size isn't enough work to Admin when it's changing software) and is not able to pay too much close attention to feedback at the moment, or otherwise certain asses would probably have been banned long ago for the delight they take in causing trouble almost like big black crows sitting on a fence hoping a carcass will appear to crow over and try to make off with the scraps. But this forum doesn't ban people who disagree with the Admin. It really does support freedom of speech in practise.

When there's a "glitch" on my forum, which has happened once in three years, it was fixed within minutes. Perhaps the Admin is happy with the bucks and just doesn't care? A post is a post is a post when revenues are concerned.

From my time on here and considering the silly reasons I've had posts modified and deleted in addition to "warnings" for calling another poster "racist" or "*********", it's evident from both the number of posters and number of admins/mods on here that this forum has a decided far right swing to it. It's free speech on here to practice racism, homophobia, misogyny, and other inflictions of the ignorant, but it's not to call it out?
