Phoenix, Arizona --(Ammoland.com)- McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing and McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years.

Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.

At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.”

    “That is correct” he says.
    Continued

Comment:They will give illegals loans, Launder Cartel drug money but not support the second amendment. No wonder they change their logo to RED.

What law did BOA violate and do we have another side to this story?

A quick look on Snopes casts serious doubts about BOA having any anti 2nd Amendment agendas:

    http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/bankofamerica.asp

Hell, it doesn't even qualify as anti 2nd Amendment if true.

It doesn't seem they violated a law. Anymore than that florist who canceled a contract for a wedding because she found out the couple was gay, or a lawyer who refuses to defend black clients. Folks have choices in who they do business with -- even bigots and morons.

Personally though, I've found Bank of America to be an unreliable partner in business. They might be fine for personal accounts, but it doesn't surprise me in the least they'd pull the rug out from under a business in this way. My advice is simply don't get involved with them in the first place.

if it isn't true then BOA would have a good basis for a lawsuit against McMillan Group then because McMillan groups Facebook page where this is sourced from

    http://www.facebook.com/McMillanGroupInternational

I wish I had a BOA credit card to cancel
oh and for the record I don't think they violated any law, it was just a bad business decision

I support BOA's decision to choose whatever customers they want. If they don't want gun owners, good for them. It is however a two way street. If this is true; they should expect a mass exodus of customers that are gun owners and perhaps more liberals putting their money in. It's a business decision and is their right.

Being a liberal pro Obama front group I think Snopes has an anti 2nd Amendment agenda itself.

All that is required here is for gun owners to switch to other banks and let BOA know why.

title of the thread should be how to (*)(*)(*)(*) off 4.3 million current and potential customers and that is just the NRA memberships. 30% of Americans owned a gun in 2005 according to Gallup

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/20098/gun-ownership-use-america.aspx

2008 - 2011 were record braking years in the firearms industry so that number is a bit low

my local club alone is getting 15 - 20 new membership applications a month, back in 2005 we maybe had 3.

It's easier to ignore facts if you don't quote the post with the links.....

Ok, now it is time for Bank Of America to back their actions. Guards who transport their money in armored vehicles are not allowed to carry firearms any more, and no more armed security guards outside their buildings, if they have security guards outside any given B of A, they can not have a firearm.. They've talked the talk, let's see if they walk the walk, but my guess they are typical leftists...do as I say, don't do as I do.

Of course Obama has a hand in it. Buffett is a major stockholder and the democrat convention will be in the BOA stadium. Anyone doubt this administrations intent?

If BOA is in business with other firearms manufacturers, what does that mean?

Good job looking at only one side instead of doing a crazy thing like checking out the facts.

Yeh...BOFA's not scary...just look at the lovely pictures they have in the lobby of their HQ. Guns, death, dying, disease...this could be the Denver Airport.

Elsewhere, talk of 8% area is out on the US$250m third lien
senior secured notes from FGI Operating Co (Freedom Group Inc)
. The eight-year non-call three issue is being led by
BofA Merrill, Deutsche Bank and RBC joint books. Proceeds of the
deal, which is expected to price in the afternoon, will be used
to fund bond tender offers. Freedom Group makes guns and
    ammunition.

Wow. There is BOA involved in an 8 year $250 million deal with a leading manufacturer of....guns and firearms. That was announced a week before BOA dropped Macmillan.

    lol......gun idiots unite!!!

They manufacture bullets. Didn't the Government just buy half a trillion bullets? Sounds like a back room deal to me.

    Firearms and Ammunition"
    http://www.freedom-group.com/
