The problem with wind turbines isn't capacity. Its capacity factor.

    if you think about it.

a home based 'kite' style turbine could be a cool business model.

probably have to go to china to get the funding....

Yes! I've been looking at this stuff too. Joby, Magenn, Makani all have developed uniquely different concepts to harness high altitude wind energy. The real breakthrough compared to conventional tower wind-turbines is that wind gusts up high are much more powerful and more sustained.

If you guys on the other side wouldn't mind I would love to see your arguements against this. Still not exactly 100% sure where I stand on this entire issue. This is a good topic IMO to hear all ideas from.

This kind of subject is something where I started very against fossil fuels. As time goes on however I am just not seeing the math adding up and have been moving further and further right as none of the left's predictions and models have come even close to fruition. Back in 2000 when I was 18 I was absolutely terrified about global warming, now .....

Oh and guys, I hope you know that any time a righty talks about Soros, my eyes glaze over and I almost immediately start shifting towards the leftist side.

    Likewise

Any time a lefty talks about the Koch brothers, my eyes glaze over and I almost immediately start shifting towards the rightists side.

It truly looks desperate and pathetic.
