He definitely isn't going to be getting the support he got last time around from many people. His wife constantly going on absurdly lavish vacations and rubbing it everyone's face by making sure there are plenty of photo ops for the media really isn't sitting well at all and is not helping his chance for reelection. What gets me is the fact that they kept taking these highly publicized holidays even after having seen the criticism. Michelle could have done it all low key, but she loves being in the spotlight so much that she simply can't help herself. She is so out of touch that she can't recognize that there are a lot of people who her husband will need who are not in the least bit amused. We shouldn't waste our money going to Vegas, while these hypocrites live like royalty on the taxpayer's dime. None of this is a surprise of course, but the main stream media will go on pretending that Obama isn't the major disappointment that he actually is to anyone who voted for him that is capable of actually being honest enough with themselves to evaluate his disastrous presidency objectively.
No, none of this IS a surprise. Actually, a President of the U.S. needs vacations more than about anyone on earth, I'd guess. The problem is that during a bad economy, the President should be taking very MODEST vacations. This would offer a better example, and would offer a morale boost to the citizens. The fact that Obama ignores this important matter is another bit of evidence that he doesn't really grasp the concept of being President.
Leading by experience isn't just one of those catchy phrases. People would respect it, and when you see the top tier cutting back...you dont feel as bad when you are cutting back, as youc an see its everyone. When it's just you though, and not them...well, it doesn't sit well at all.
I knew this would bite them on the rear eventually. Just 7 more months to see how much it hurts Obama...of course there will be another vacation or two which will provide even more nails in their coffin.
Michelle doesn't need to take vacations on the workings man dime if Obama isn't going. And please explain why they take separate flights only a few hours apart when traveling to the same location at the added expense this entails. They are living it up at the expense of taxpayers. an electrical contractor I know invited one of his good commercial customers to play golf at his exclusive country club and invited him to his large home. The customer went to bid and found several firms which would take his contract for SUBSTANTIALLY less. The electrical contractor lost the guy's business because he could not afford membership in an exclusive CC nor a house like the contractor owned. he figured he must be getting overcharged and he was correct. The fallout- 4 full time workers got laid off it was definitely a faux pas to invite the customer to the CC and what the Obamas are doing is similar. They really should have dressed down their lavish lifestyle

No, he is saying if it looks like you are getting ****ed and it feels like you are getting ****ed then you are probably being ****ed. I agree that Obama needs vacation times (pitting half the nation against the other half is a very stressful job) but the Obama's have a let them eat cake mentality. They are blowing millions of dollars on vacations for the FIRST WIFE! Their vacations make the GSA look like fiscal conservatives by comparison.
jealous of whom? If I wanted to live off of the taxpayer teat I would have entered politics. Instead, I'm just an evil business owner who employs people. I do not "deserve" a vacation but try to take time off when I can. My point is quite simple and obviously lost on you and your lust of "the glow". Obama is presiding over what history will show as the worst or 2nd worst administration ever. He may be a book smart person but history will show that he was the wrong tool for the job at the time. The great experiment failed the country. Despite all of that, he of all people with all of his handlers should be a little more sensitive about appearances during such hard times. If they want to go on trips then go to the Grand Canyon, go to yellowstone, redwood national, rushmore and the list goes on. Perhaps they could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. They would get the vacation they believe they "deserve" and they would be giving a little exposure to national parks which might encourage Americans to do the same and spend a little money on local attractions After January he can travel as much and as often as he likes and won't have the burden of the presidency upon his shoulders. It also won't cost us taxpayers as much because he'll have a modest security detail vs the full blown one.
