What a shocker this would be! Obama losing Bill Clinton's home state? Primary's coming up fast in Arkansas... guess we'll have to wait and see! Better than losing to a convict, I suppose!

It's like how Romney "almost" lost to Santorum. Strange, though.

That would be the death blow if he can't carry Clintons home state. I will reserve my laughter until I get home and pour myself a dram of Gentleman Jack.

I've noticed how the Dems running for office in Texas have distanced themselves from Obama in their ads. In fact, it's nearly impossible to tell the Dems from the Reps now that EVERYBODY's claiming to be a true conservative!!

The Great One (Mark Levin) knows all true conservatives...Texans need only consult him.

    Really?

Obama lost Arkansas by 20% in 2008. Was it a death blow then?

I'm sure Obama is crying in his sleep over the loss of Arkansas.

    Not surprising.

An incumbent Democrat President losing Arkansas in 2012 would be a horse of a different color.

Ah, but then he was a mere candidate, now he is an inflated-egotistical tyrant who will not be able to take it like a gentleman.

A sitting President losing a State is extremely bad and is far different then running in primaries. The fact that people are even running against him says alot.

Some of the Obama haters are so reliable. Thats why it is always a pleasure to go directly to sources, rather than rely on what can be charitably called 'edited facts"

The article in the original post claims that Obama leads Wolfe in Arkansas only by 45-38......but that isn't actually correct...here is from the original National Review Article:

And according to a Talk Business–Hendrix College poll conducted on May 10, Obama leads John Wolfe, a virtually unknown candidate, in Arkansas’s 4th congressional district by only 7 points, 45–38.

Get that- this is a measure of 1 Congressional district in Arkansas.

A district that Obama only got 39% of the vote in 2008.

Anyway- if this factoid helps calm your fears that Obama might still be re-elected, go for it.

I don't see any 'there' there.

    Barack Obama’s Arkansas primary problem
    05/22/2012 TheWashingtonPost

Two weeks after an imprisoned felon received 41 percent of the vote against President Obama in West Virginia’s presidential primary, Arkansas could provide another potential embarrassment for the incumbent.

That’s because only Obama and John Wolfe, a Tennessee lawyer, are on the Democratic presidential primary ballot in the Razorback State. (Wolfe took 12 percent — and nearly 18,000 votes — in a four-way fight in the Louisiana Democratic presidential primary in late March.) And a recent independent poll showed Obama running just seven points ahead of Wolfe in the southern Arkansas 4th district, which covers one-quarter of the state.

All of this takes place on a backdrop that is decidedly less than friendly for Obama. Even while he was sweeping to a national victory (and 365 electoral votes) in 2008, Obama received just 39 percent in Arkansas — six points worse than Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry did four years earlier.

“Arkansas voters are informed voters and are fully aware that John Wolfe will not make it out of the primary,” said one well-connected Arkansas Democrat. “However, if John Wolfe has a strong showing tomorrow, it’s a sign that Democratic voters in Arkansas are frustrated with the administration’s policies and further reiteration that Southern Democrats simply cannot identify with President Obama.”

    Obama Gets a Political Spanking
    May 23, 2012

President Obama didn’t lose any primaries Tuesday, but he did come out a loser.

Four in ten voters in both the Arkansas and Kentucky DEMOCRATIC primaries pulled the lever against him.

Returns are not complete, but Tennessee businessman John Wolfe appears to have pulled down about 40 percent of the vote against the president in Arkansas. In Kentucky, about 42 percent selected “uncommitted” rather than voting for Obama.

This is all meaningless in practical terms, of course. John Wolfe will not be accepting the nomination at the Democratic convention. But presidents who look to be strong running for reelection in the fall don’t lose 40 percent of the vote in three primaries in the spring – a Texas prison inmate picked up 40 percent in an earlier primary in West Virginia – even in states where they are not particularly popular.

    ***

How embarrassing for his highness. I'm sure he'd be upset if he wasn't spending the day among his adoring fans, begging for $$$$.
