CBS NEWS- ATF used "Fast and Furious" to make the case for gun regulation

This is going to turn more and more into a scandal. Wait for more news on this, and more calls for the resignation of Holder and more looking into what the WH new. This article is months old, but as it relates to the current event, and the stories coming out that this is true as to what has happened is a big event.

 

There was speculation about this 8 months ago, and its the primary reason for the contempt charge.

Im not surprised in the least.

Obama and pals HATE the constitution, and theyll do anything in their power to destroy what they swore to protect and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic.

This isnt the first time, the second time, nor the third time.....

Where is the outrage from the left?

 

It took 8 months for Watergate to take off and it was a scandal that didn't get anyone killed. So far the count is a couple hundred Mexican citizens and one American.

I had hear this two months ago - which everyone called a 'wingnut' fantasy.

Obama is a coward, so he will not effectively call for stricter gun control, because he knows he will lose a lot of votes; even though it guarantees full support from the far left. So he and his administration try to manipulate behind the scenes hoping to make it necessary without him taking the blame.

Who's getting the blame now?

O.P. is right, it is a growing scandal, and all the media better start covering it. Where are the brave journalists like the ones that exposed Watergate? They don't exist anymore.

I think you guys are missing the fact that the left doesn't care if its used to justify gun control because they want guns controlled anyway.

Just like you wouldn't care if the president was caught with his pants down trying to backdoor greater control of abortion. You want it anyway, so you'd be less concerned than the liberals of any impropriety.

The only Republicans concerned about abortion are the mostly Christian/Catholic overly-religious right. Here's a clue. There are many conservatives who are aren't pro-life. However, concerning gun control, I don't think I've ever met a Liberal that hasn't wanted more gun control. Its ingrained in their subconscious, mostly due to ignorance and fear of the all-mighty evil gun, having not grown up around people who actually know how to use them. I know many Republicans who don't even consider abortion an issue at all. The only ones who do are highly religious and even some of them are OK with it regarding rape. Ask 99% of Liberals if there are too many guns out there and all of them will say yes with a nasty sneer on their faces.

 

Your problem with relying on comedy for your news is that the program under Bush used Controlled sales, tracked the weapons all coordinated with the Mexican government. When the Obama administration started it back up, the sales were uncontrolled, untracked, used to push gun control, and never coordinated with the Mexican government.

 

Kind of like birtherism ... Obama was brought from Kenya to Hawaii where his parents obtained false documents because they knew he would become POTUS one day and conspire to take-over America by introducing socialism/communism and national socialist facism for the purpose of burning white people in ovens ...

I remember in the 2000s wanting to slap the gun-nut western US states so much after US guns started turning up in Mexican drug lord crime scenes in Mexico. I knew about this and a few other nasty, hushed-up stuff going on for years before the border patrol agent was killed because I was doing research in the college library then. It didn't help that President Bush was in office. Oh yes, I was an Independent party voter then this was before I became a Democrat.

If an anti-gun amendment was put on the ballot a few years ago, like the gay-marriage bans, I would have voted out the guns. Actually I would have voted them guns out anyway up until the Syrian twist on the Arab spring revolution. Up until that time, I didn't subscribe to the right's argument that guns were needed for defense because it seemed that protesters in Egypt and Libya had no troubles gaining access to military grade weapons when they needed them.

Of course after the Gabby Giffords shooting I can never support the right's agenda to live free of gun laws.

Kindly point out someone on the right who wants absolutely no gun laws. Go ahead, or I'll just assume you are throwing out a false premise and a strawman.

Yes, big shock that an "independent" who became a Democrat would want to ban guns, but at least you want to go about changing the Constitution the proper way. Most liberal Democrats would prefer a unilateral decision by the tyrant in chief, or a judicial activist decision. It's easier that way, and it doesn't require the states input in any way. Bad news, though. You won't get rid of guns. Chicago banned guns, and their murder rate has increased 35% this year. Meanwhile, in states where you are legally allowed to carry, there is often less violent crime than before.

 

I haven't been around here since the news of the POTUS using EP. But I gotta tell ya, it feels slimey. I am NOT a conspiracy theory believer at all. BUT, if proof ever comes out that this was done strictly in order for a tragedy like this to happen so that they can make stronger gun laws...................that is dirty to the core.

Now I have stated many times over the past few months that I was NOT gonna vote for Obama, that is still true. But this possible scandal is NOT going to sway me towards Romney in the least. Romney & Obama are one in the same IMO.
