    The Army made a big turn for the worse when they put those silly looking berets on all the soldiers. It looks good on elite soldiers, but with everyone in a beret it just looks lame.

    Outsourcing is a logical reaction to aggregate economic realities. I object to current efforts by Congress to allow the uniforms to be made in the United States.

    Bain Capital would be logically reacting to aggregate economic realities. However, private equity firms rarely outsource. They usually expand their services into emerging markets.

    The Green Beret used to mean the best of the best and was only given to elite soldiers.

    But when everyone has one it means nothing except that some Army general is out of her mind.

    These faux outrages are so dumb and distracting, who gives a (*)(*)(*)(*)? The real outrage, if any, is that they were made in China, but i'd challenge you to look at your own clothing.

    Fashion is world wide...deal with it.....Eventually (100 years) we will all look and dress the same either through warfare or a global village concept....And if you fail to fall in line with the mob you will be that overweight uncle in the Hawaiian shirt that everyone laughs at....

    Nothing unites a country like patriotic outrage. Or bad fashion.

    I offer the (obviously tongue-in-cheek) conspiracy theory that Bain Capital must've gotten somehow gotten ahold of the Olympics Committee. Not only was production outsourced to China, but, check it out, this stuff looks JUST like you would expect the Romneys to wear. Coincidence? I think not!

    Looking at the styles presented, I fear that the world community will be mislead into believing that Americans' main sport of interest is cricket. Good heavens!

    (Tea and crumpets anyone?)

    True. That elite was the Royal Marine Commando, then the Aussies, French,Canadians and even the Americans jumped on the bandwagon.

    I'm pretty sure the uniforms were designed to greatly lessen the chances the athletes would have the opportunity to engage in sex.
