The comments about this being a racial issue are total bunk IMHO but the article does make a couple of good points.
    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-07-30/why-you-didn-t-build-that-resonates.html

The most offensive statement in the speech was actually:
"I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there."

The quote from the fictional Sam Seaborn is so right on I'm worried that our political leaders are taking their talking points from "The West Wing". For those who don’t know the show there is a Democrat in the White House and Sam, who works in the administration, is talking to liberal leaders.
"Henry, last fall, every time your boss got on the stump and said, "It's time for the rich to pay their fair share," I hid under a couch and changed my name. I left Gage Whitney making $400,000 a year, which means I paid twenty-seven times the national average in income tax. I paid my fair share, and the fair share of twenty-six other people. And I'm happy to 'cause that's the only way it's gonna work, and it's in my best interest that everybody be able to go to schools and drive on roads, but I don't get twenty-seven votes on Election Day. The fire department doesn't come to my house twenty-seven times faster and the water doesn't come out of my faucet twenty-seven times hotter. The top one percent of wage earners in this country pay for twenty-two percent of this country. Let's not call them names while they're doing it, is all I'm saying."

The Obama administration wants to tax success AND take credit for it.

    Of course it resonates...

Marginalizing and insulting Americans who use their IDENTICAL individual rights, liberty, economic freedom and IDENTICAL access to collectively available infrastructure to pursue individual success over mediocrity is a political death sentence.

    Good riddance, Obama....you despicable POS.

No sweat ... all Willard has to do is show his tax returns and money in his offshore accounts ... this typically is how businessmen running for president prove their success as proof of everything they built ... successfully ...

I don't see anyone saying this is about race on this forum.

So I guess Kim Kardashian is wealthy because she works harder than you and is more intelligent than you. Cool. Good to know. Sounds like you need to pick up the pace.

I didn't see anything "racial" about the comment, but I'm not someone who goes around searching for racial crap all the time everywhere with a microscope.

What Obama really meant is that everything that is good and successful in this country was a product of collective Socialism. This has been his culture and his entire background up to this day. How would he think anything else? The statement is about as truthful and "transparent" as he has ever been with the public about anything. Obama is a Marxist Socialist and he always will be, and he will be even more so if he's reelected because then he won't ever have to face being reelected again.

How come everything you say has nothing to do with any topic at hand?

Obama didn't write "Dreams of my Father". Marx did.

Against my better judgement, I'll reply to you...It will be the last.

Commerce, 25 million small business owners and their employees carry a massive "musket" in America.....purposely marginalizing them represents more than a mere "shot"....it's more like a nuclear tipped warhead.

Your Boy King...and your collectivist ideology... will likely not recover from this Marxist "slip" for decades

All Wilard has to is to show his jobs creations ... and how he expects to do better than Obama .... and with the same Bush economics he proposes .... a simple bikini graph will do ...

The top one percent get FAR MORE than 22% of the DISPOSABLE income in this country.

Of course the wealthy want to see a hungry child give 1/3 of his crust of bread for breakfast in taxes, but we are not a Charles Dickens/Ebeneezer Scrooge Country quite yet.

lol because we have so many poor children living on "bread". Our poor are often obese, as we are the fattest country in the world. No one is starving to death in america, no matter how much of a straw man image you paint.

She has certain talents that some people want to see. Not much different than any other fashion model. She doesn't take from you any more than you choose to give her.

That is the advantage of leftist cant. Full credit when things go right and no personal or collective responsibility when things go wrong.
