Best opening game= Bama vs Michigan : this game will be interesting to watch

My question last season was who will be the opponent for Bama or LSU in the BCS championship game. I was wrong because they were each others

Well, here goes again. Who will be the opponent for USC in the BCS championship game? I don't see any team beating USC especially in the PAC 12 and their non conference games aren't a challenge. I fear that my beloved SEC will be ending their reign this year but will be starting a new one next year.

    This is USC's year

I don't know about USC...They've been heavy favs before and crashed & burned.
Some talking head(Skip Bayless, I think, but not sure) picked Arkansas to be there at the end.

I would have agreed about Arkansas but when you combine the mess created by Petrino and the thug players caught stealing from dorms they have a lot of demons to exorcise this year.

It's a toss up as to who will be the opponent of USC. I'm even going on a limb and predicting Georgia as SEC champs this year. Richt has been silently rebuilding his program. For a few years I think the school and players forgot their heritage. Bulldogs really clamp down when they bite and I think they have their swagger and teeth back.

But, I don't think any SEC team is strong enough to walk out unscathed from conference games thus why I am unclear as to which team will play USC

Who knows, maybe we'll see a Big East team. I'm not kidding. USF has a cupcake schedule and stranger things have happened. They let Ohio State into the championship 2 years in a row and they played cupcake schedules to get there

Will the Mizzou Tigers, now in the SEC, fare well this year in easily the deepest conference in Division I college football.
    I predict 5-7.

Here's my prediction: USC (maybe even with a loss) over the winner of the Texas/Oklahoma game in the BCS Championship game.

You may be on to something. I haven't reviewed the big 12 yet so can't really comment

I'm already shedding tears over my SEC. It will be a pity to watch another conference hoist the trophy and even worse, for the SEC not to be in the game.

But, USC put up with the turd left behind by Carrol. Those kids stuck it out and are hungry

Don't worry, USC seems to live a charmed life. More than likely they will evade the SEC altogether and play some Big 10 team like Purdue in the Rose Bowl on their own field like they do pretty much every year and be handed the trophy.

Personally, I would just love to watch them get their arses kicked for a change. Unless they can prove they are cheating again, I don't see them missing a Rose Bowl or NCG until the end of time, if that.

I'll also be rooting for WSU over BYU tonight.

Hey now, lets not just talk big schools, I'm looking forward to the MAC season.

And as a Buckeye fan I'd argue the cupcake schedule comment, but I can't. The funny thing is as bigger OU Bobcat fan I hate to see the OSU/MAC games go away, 'cause every once in a while...

in re-reviewing the Dawgs schedule, could they go undefeated into the SEC championship game? I don't see one team on their schedule capable of beating them. Bama will beat them in the SEC championship game so you'd have a 1 loss Dawg team and also a 1 or 2 loss SEC champ. So, I still do not see an SEC team in the BCS championship game.

I heard some talking heads mention FSU and when you look at their schedule, it bodes well for them. So maybe we'll have USC vs FSU

I believe my Buckeyes will be back to their winning ways this year. From what I'm seeing and hearing, Urban has this team looking sharp, and Braxton Miller has drastically improved passing the ball.

They did hold Marshall to like 20 points. But I stopped watching after they scored into the 60s.

Well it's been determined, Alabama will win another NC game. All the rest of the games are but a formality.

As I'm sitting here watching Alabama hand another Big Ten school their arse once again, I begin to wonder, will the SEC win the NCG for another thousand years?

Personally I'm enjoying it since I hate Michigan, but to be honest I'm kinda tired of the "SEC, SEC, SEC" chant. Everyone gets handed a dose of humility in this life from time to time it seems EXCEPT SEC fans.

So who will be the sacrificial lamb in the NCG this year? My guess is USC, but then, I think they may lose a game just to avoid the humiliation and go to the Rose Bowl to blow out some sorry Big Ten team.....again. Maybe it will be Florida State that is the sacrifical lamb instead.

I was rooting for Michigan to put up more of a fight, guess it didn't happen since I stopped watching it halfway through the 3rd quarter when Denard Robinson got hurt.
