Interesting.. Is this being reported anywhere else? As of yesterday Debka reports that NATO troops are on the ground in Syria.. That doesn't appear to be true either.
this is not true what is true that the sader shiaa party is fighting with the Syrian regime months ago
Granny says he's just like his sorry-assed daddy... Analysts Weigh In on Longevity of Syria's Assad November 22, 2012 The Syrian conflict is now in its 20th month and Syrian rights activists say more than 40,000 people have been killed there since the uprising began. The embattled government of President Bashar al Assad appears to be on the defensive, having lost a number of military bases recently. Some analysts view these developments as a sign that the fall of his government is not far off, while others see a stalemate and a protracted conflict.
Even more interesting since Iraq's government, such a state as it is in at the moment, largely functions under the guide and influence of the US consulate in the region.

We need to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan now. We need no more proof that the wars there did nothing but strengthen Iranian influence in the region!! It is a lost battle we are still bleeding for!!!
Not only that, but the winners are going to be tougher than the Syrian regime. The Revolutionaries are part of the global al Kaida and their fighting along Syrian rebels give them a hold on the future regime that would manage to govern Syria. HB The battle for Aleppo’s airports continues (60,000 dead an counting) 14/01/2013 By Nazeer Rida http://www.asharq-e.com/news.asp?section=1&id=32551 Beirut, Asharq Al-Awsat - Sources in the Revolutionary Military Council in Aleppo have denied reports of Syrian rebels downing an Iranian civilian aircraft - loaded with ammunition - before it landed at Aleppo international airport, instead confirming that the plane came under heavy machine gun fire, forcing it to change course. Yesterday, the opposition “Aleppo News” network reported that the Syrian rebels had downed a civilian aircraft coming from Iran, loaded with weapons and missiles, last Friday. The network added that the strike was carried out at a low altitude given that the plane was preparing to land at Aleppo international airport. Aleppo News, quoting the rebels who claimed to have downed the plane, alleged that “a fire broke out inside the plane and it was damaged”, adding that the rebels saw “weapons, ammunition and rockets falling from the plane, which they could not seize because the cargo fell in an area controlled by the regime”. The network also said that the rebels had spotted the Iranian flag on the plane, which confirmed to them that it had come from Iran. However, Revolutionary Military Council sources have denied such news, stressing in a telephone interview with Asharq Al-Awsat that this is “not accurate”. The sources explained that the rebels “confronted an Iranian plane that was preparing to land at Aleppo international airport, and shot at it with heavy automatic weaponry, forcing the plane to divert away from the airport”. This is the second operation of its kind within the space of twenty days, after the armed opposition targeted a Syrian civilian aircraft landing at Aleppo international airport in December, firing warning shots as its wheels came to a halt. Opposition fighters are continuing to target aircraft at Meng military airport, where activists have revealed that the rebels have damaged helicopters stationed inside the airport, using the rocket-propelled grenades and tank shells that they plundered from the regime’s forces. A military source from Aleppo told Asharq Al-Awsat that the battle for Meng airport is ongoing, stressing that the military site, located near the town of Azaz to the north of Aleppo, “will fall in the near future”. Meanwhile, Syrian activists have posted images showing the human and material losses stemming from the aerial bombardment of Azaz market. The activists claim there have been dozens of casualties, in addition to the destroyed buildings. The Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced that its fighters were “making significant advances towards the entrances of Meng military airport, targeting several buildings inside”. Likewise, the FSA announced on its website that its fighters are besieging Kwers military airport, and that yesterday they damaged a plane and forced it to land on their territory. According to military defectors, the Kwers airport site houses more than 100 warplanes, three of which have been damaged so far, along with 5 helicopters, one of which has been destroyed. The FSA website reports that the last plane to land at Kwers airport was a civilian plane transporting artillery and troops. It claims that the airport currently holds 900 of the regime’s troops and 13 artillery guns; however the base has experienced roughly 100 defections, including high-ranking officials. The FSA website pointed out that the airport is being subjected to daily bombardments from homemade rockets, and is in a state of permanent high alert. Finally, according to local coordination committees, the Syrian rebels are continuing to bombard Neirab military airport, and yesterday morning they attacked Jarrah (another military airport in Aleppo) with rockets. This is all happening whilst the regime’s warplanes continue to carry out extensive raids on Damascus and the surrounding area. -------------------------------------------- IMRA - Independent Media Review and Analysis Website: www.imra.org.il
Bashar Assad’s regime is close to the end. Iran and her "baby" Hezbollah are scared.. What will happen after Assad's deportation ? ( or death like Kadafi )
Gaddafi or one of his many doubles ? Assad is in a terrible position for if he loves his country, which we have to presume he does no matter whether he is a brute or not, If he steps down he knows far bigger brutes will take over Syria, people who have NO love for and possibly no knowledge of Syria, If he stays foreign insurgences will keep on flowing in. Either way the intent of The Powers that Be is to split Syria into little managable disoriantated bite sizes. So what if it is a minority Governing, since when was that not the norm of the Ways of the World. If any outside forces were truly ever trying to help toward keeping peaceful order and progression in other peoples Lands blood shed would be a rarity in The Soap Opera called The News.
A piece of Swiss Cheese full of holes... Your naivete' is appalling...you and the two paid posters have no concept of what goes on in Syria... Syria (Assyria) before it, was always a battleground and this is how the Allawites took over to put order in this area. Unfortunately the imbued nationalism displayed turned into dictatorship Assad the son think that the country belongs to him and his followers a la Saudi (Family Dynasty) Arabia... Notwithstanding all of that, once the Assad Dynasty collapses a lot of unknown factors will happen for they are bound to happen... Israel must be aware of what transpires and would have to take defensive measures.
None of that has anything to do with what I said. The 'order' that comes in the wake of Revolution is always worse than what came before. Of the two sides now Assad is the only one who could bring a cohesive order to the people and nothing will come before that. Minorities often Rule, in Israel too ......... that is a false argument made out of ignorance for the ignorant.
And if anyone is still in any doubt all they need do is watch Bitter Lake to find out what an abject disaster it (Afghanistan) was.
