uh....someone mixed up their 'think' and 'speak' cards again. http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-romney-beverly-hills-fundraiser-20120922,0,2317962.story Oh, and he also brought in 6 million at this fundraiser. Give him some credit, he's a fundraising machine, especially these last few months.
come on romney lives in a jet travels around so much its like being in a house and thinks its safe. so he would think the windows are windows at times.
This just can't be true. He has traveled in chartered jets most of his life. He need to quit thinking and just shut up.
Wasn't he briefed by the Secret Service last week? Obviously they didn't do the job properly because anybody aspiring to be President should first be told the way out.
Romney, a man with two graduate degrees and the Republican nomination for President of the United States, doesn't understand that aircraft are pressurized?
basic? where not on a farm pulling weeds , we need a rocket/jet mechanic scientist in economics like romney now, not a community organizer for a future jim jones commune with cool sunglasses.
This is a BS OP. There are many aircraft with windows that open. Many cockpit windows open, and for high end private aircraft windows can be opened if the buyer wants to pay for it. There is no technical reason that all windows in an aircraft cannot be opened. Its just cheaper to have windows that cannot be opened, and it avoids the risk of some fool opening a window at altitude. Yep, another fool OP trying to make something out of nothing.
Um...another funny liberal thread trying to pick nits. First of all, many private jets have windows that open - when ambient pressure is roughly equalized with cabin pressure, and when the lockout isn't engaged. I'm sure libs made no effort to glean something intelligent from Romney's comment, but there was nothing wrong with it. For purposes of clearing a cabin of smoke or gas, it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to have a feature that allows better exhaust circulation. That's what Romney's comment meant. It's stupid to try to make this about intelligence, and neither will I poke fun at the liberals in this thread who obviously do not know about features on higher end aircraft.
Yes plane windows, that's important, WHERE ARE THE JOBS???? Oh, wait, that's off limits... sorry folks...
So in response to Romney genuinely wondering why normal seat windows don't open up on a plane... The conservatives here are actually going to try and defend his ignorance by spouting off about planes and cabin windows that his comments didn't even apply to? I suppose it's no different than trying to twist Palin's claims about Russia and Alaska.
Call me passive, but somehow I don't see a breaking news story here. In fact, I'm a whole lot less concerned about Romney not why plane windows don't open than a president who thinks there's 57 states. Just say'en.
