If god hates abortion, why make women get pregnant when they don't want to be?

I know most of you are incapable of thinking outside of the box, but it's a valid question. You think god is all powerful, correct? So, why wouldn't he just make women so that they could simply choose to not get pregnant while still having sex? Don't say "well, they could just choose to not have sex." False, some women are raped and end up pregnant. Either way, he knows people will have sex even with a risk of unwanted pregnancy, so why bring some innocent child into the situation that could end up aborted ("murdered" by your standard)?

Maybe that's why God made smart people who invented contraception.

Right, so he made smart people to make contraception thousands of years after creating humans. And not everyone has access and they don't always work. Then, we have a lot of Christians that support lying to kids about contraception or telling them "just don't have sex" so they don't even use it. Seems really ridiculous to create people to do something ineffectively thousands of years after designing and creating humans which he could have designed better in the first place.

Maybe he didn't count on them taking so long to figure it out.

Maybe God should have made people smarter. I'm sure human stupidity amazes even God at times.

Why do people who've never created life think they're in a position to understand the reasoning behind a higher power who creates human life?

A human being is always a human being - completly independent fom the moral of the deeds of the own father and/or mother. Your problem has nothing to do with the existance of god - it has to do with the interpretation of natural unalienable human rights. The most people in the western world are thinking a woman should abort a baby if a criminal raped her. But the problem is much more complex: The baby is also her own baby. The solutions in such a case are not easy to see. If a raped woman decides to abort er baby then it's for example not clear what's the influence is of the pressure of the western seculare moralists on this decision - adn it's not clear what's really the part of the own 'uneducated' decision of the woman.

I would say: In general all human beings seem to be something like psychopaths. If a woman doesn't like to abort her baby onyl becaude the father of the baby is a rapist, then this decions is completly clear and okay. If she's not able to carry this burden then this is completly understandable - no one would force a woman to carry such a burden. But in all cases such a woman needs real friends - not idiots.

This is not a discussion about whether or not women should abort their babies. Wrong thread.

I'm completly in the center of the question. I don't see your problem - except maybe you don't like to feel abortion to be a moloch of the modern times. The decision of a woman to have sex with a man is also always the decision to like to have a baby together with this man. Only in case of rape the decision is not the own free will of a woman. And in this case the societies of the world are using a lot of pressure on woman to abort this children. That's a very psychopathic behavior of "the masses".

This is not a thread about whether or not abortion is wrong.

Every woman that decides to have sex with a man is doing it because she wants to have a baby? Well, that's obviously false.

Again, a red herring. Whether or not this is true is irrelevant. This thread is about why god would cause women to get pregnant when he knows those fetuses will be aborted.

Since you seem to be incapable of comprehending this in the situation of abortion, I'll customize the point just for you:

If god loves children and hates child abuse, why does he let women get pregnant when they don't want to be pregnant and will (not all, but some) end up abusing/neglecting their child due to not having the resources or the desire to care for the child? You can go on and on about how it's a choice for the woman; the fact is, it's not a choice for the fetus, so why punish the fetus when he could easily just design women to only get pregnant when they want a baby?

If someone aborts a human being the human being dies - so abortions is wrong if someone believes that human rights should be a reality.

I would call all situations where somone has sex with someone else and would not like to have his/her baby "unnatural". With other words: All this reasons I'm thinking about (prostitution for example) have nothing to do with joy, love and happiness.

Social pressure of men on women is always relevant. Specially if a worldwide secular ideology likes to transform women in a kind of men version 2.

Again: This question has nothign to do with god. It has to do with the realisation of unalienable human rights.

A very long statement for the little sentence "You are an idiot", isn't it? From such a point of view to the next step: "The only good idiots I ever saw were dead idiots" is not a far distance.

Why spread your legs when you don't want to be pregnant? Why allow sex to control you rather you control it?

God gave us free will, atheists still blame God for the consequences of their choices.

Tell me AK, do you not know that sex can lead to pregnancy? Have you been duped?

Omg, nevermind. You're impossible to have a conversation with. You won't even address the topic with anything relevant.

OMG, REALLY? SEX IS A CHOICE? I HAD NO IDEA!

Yet, another poster incapable of thinking about anything else besides sex being a choice. Holy crp. Woo dee doo, sex is a choice. Can we move on to the actual topic? Sex is a choice, people have sex, babies get made, people get abortions, abuse their children, or are incapable of caring for them because they weren't prepared and did not want a child. It being a choice doesn't change the fact that god could simply keep innocent fetuses/children from being in these situations. Why not? Why does the fact that sex is a choice mean that god shouldn't save innocent life from these situations? Do they not feel pain because it's a choice? Should babies be aborted or abused because people can choose to not have sex? this is basically your argument, since you can't say anything but "uhhhh, people choose to have sex!

Yep another skin flit attempt to blame God for that which he has a choice to do or not to do. You know the consequences of YOUR decisions, and the idea that sex leads to babies ... is a no brainer. Yet its not your fault, its God's fault? :omfg:

But of course that is not relevant, what is relevant is whiney (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing, because a youngin' doesn't like the idea of consequences for his actions? Its going to be a very tough life for you kiddo, just make sure you blame God for everything ... and make sure you are an ornery and dickish about it as possible. Be insufferable about the consequences of your own choices. That way you can ensure that the people around you are every bit as miserable as you are.

many Christians believe when a baby dies, it gets a free pass to heaven.. I would assume they apply that same belief to fetus's, if true would that not be the ultimate gift you could give someone, a free pass to heaven, maybe some are jealous, maybe they do not really believe God will let babies into heaven?

Actually, the Catholic Church has no official position on what happens to unbaptized babies. So no, its not a free pass to heaven to get aborted.

So you are attributing God with the conception of the unwanted child? It is all Gods fault? Well, this is marvelous. Not only are you attributing the conception (casting blame) on God, but at the same time, you are admitting that God exists. God cannot have done what you are claiming without God having actual existence. Bravo for you.

Why does that higher power create life that shouldn't have been created in the first place?

To cause people like you to recognize His creative ability and make you ask question about His existence. If He does not exist, then he cannot have "created life that shouldn't have been created in the first place."

lol, so, god creates millions of fetuses that get aborted, and millions of children that are neglected/abused so that we recognize his creative ability? Wow, that's not completely sociopathic and egotistical or anything. How is that a benevolent god?

I can't have a conversation with someone who's not capable of understanding this is a hypothetical situation in my perspective.

"Don't think of this as an abortion - it's a free pass to heaven!"

U mad. Come back when you can get on topic instead of spending all of your time throwing a fit.

You'd have to understand how supernatural laws work in order to understand that, so why are you trying to? Seriously? Unless you've created a universe you have no call to try to understand the rules governing it. Because guess what - you can't.

He created a condition where those millions of fetuses that were aborted to not have to suffer through the BS that we have to endure. As for the millions of children that are neglected/abused they were created so that people would recognize Him, His laws, and the consequence of neglecting Him or abusing His laws. Sociopathic... what is that? Egotistical... aren't you being a bit egotistical thinking that you KNOW better than the one who created you?
