Tit-for-tat moves between Russia and the US are plunging the two nations into a new Cold War, says Russia expert Stephen Cohen.

Washington’s longtime policy towards Moscow is to blame for the growing tensions.

The ‘reset’ in relations between the United States and Russia is dead, as the Obama administration has never truly cooperated with Moscow, instead pushing the same policy Washington has been imposing on Russia for the past 20 years,

Stephen F. Cohen – professor of Russian Studies and History at New York University and Princeton University told RT. . .

“That policy is advancing NATO toward Russia’s borders, building missile defense on Russia’s borders, interfering in Russia’s internal politics.”
    etc.

Does anyone think it is that serious?

I know Americans will never hate the Russians, since none of our news outlets will do or say anything to arouse hatred towards anyone...Even to the point of covering up attrocities committed against Christians in Islamic nations. What our propaganda will do, and what it has continuously done, is denigrate the Putin government and accuse it of human rights abuses since it is not conforming to our current 'pagan' western values. As for me, I say BRAVO :applause: Russia. I read that Russia will ban filthy language in the media. Well I hope they'll ban it in the movies as well. It's time a little civility and decency was brought back to this world.

    Silly poster.
The problem is not Obama, it started before he was even in office, the one word problem is, and always has been, PUTIN.

You guys do realize that Russia still has spies all over the United States, right? They never called off the Cold War, not for one minute.

Haha. Problem is brainwashed 'Mericans and their media, full of stamps, hate and propaganda, which made them think they have a right to stick their nose into our internal affairs and dictate how we should act abroad.

You can take any text from WaPo, Newsweek, NYT and make a quick fact-check. Doubt that "truth level" will hit 50%. And I am not talking about stuff like "American Thinker" or so. They are one step from writing "oh, they are all dumb drunken sub-humans, killing them is good thing".

Oh,see? The guy seems to believe in absence of American spies on our soil. Yeah..sure.

I agree with you! Also Bravo Russia. I hope they ban it in the movies also, like it used to be banned here.

When Putin made that decision about the adoptions I thought he must have had a pretty good reason to do it. Of course Putin is far from perfect, but at least they've have got a man running their country and not a limp-wristed wimp.

The United States behave incorrectly, but the Soviet Union IF it REMAINED the ONLY superpower country, would have behaved more incorrectly

Banning filthy language in movies? Sounds like something only an autocratic/dictatorial regime would think of, sounds strange to me why a conservative would ask for government intervention in movie scripts.

People are influenced by what they see and hear in the movies and media. If they use filthy and crass language, then of course in time that language will become a part of the culture. By the same token if people show more civility, respect and courtesy in the media and movies, then that will become part of our culture...so which do you prefer? Personally, I prefer civility. Bravo Putin! :applause:

No you're wrong! The problem started when we decided to enter a civil war in Serbia, on the side of the Albanian KLA terrorists. Russia disagreed with the U.S. and we paid them no heed. In other words we were telling them that we don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) what you think, you're not a power anymore. Well since we showed that we can mess around with borders and interfere in other nations, Putin decided to do the same and retaliated by freeing S. Ossetia and Abhazia. In other words he was telling us that there can't be two standards, one for the U.S. and another for the rest of the world.

Also Russia was shocked when we put missiles in Poland and didn't give a hoot about how Russia felt about it. Well guess what, Russia is now arming itself to the hilt, and don't tell me that they are the ones that started the Cold War and not us?

Even Israel has spies in the U.S., not to mention China, so what difference? Actually Russia did stop the cold war, and lived up to all its agreements, but we didn't. We were supposed to dissolve Nato.

The Cold War started again with Kosovo. Serbia has always been close to Russia, so when we treated them unjustly in preference to the Albanian KLA terrorists, Russia began realizing that they might be next on our agenda. This is why Russia is so adamant about us not interfering in Syria. As one Russian official said; 'we are fighting for our very existance.'

Today there are warships from all of Russias fleets in the Eastern Mediterrean, and they are having war games. There are seventeen American warships there as well. Russia is also making stops in the Greek ports, because of the threats of invasion coming from Turkey. Israel, Cyprus and Greece have also been having war games together.

In other words, things are not only hot in the S. China seas, they are pretty hot in the Mediterrean as well. :eyepopping:

Russian reporters and human rights activists who say bad things about Putin get pushed out of windows or poisoned with radioactive pellets.

Why are you people defending Russia?

Oh, because you would defend any enemy of the United States.

In other words, you are traitors.

I have a suspicion that Russia wanted to stop the adoptions, but didn't have an excuse to do so. At one time these children might have had a good future in the U.S., but now that future seems less and less. Also Russia has a low birth rate, and it does need to grow its population, otherwise it will be overwhelmed with Muslims from the Caucasus. :eyepopping:

Then im afraid we have a whole lot of banning to do, for instance i think there's nothing civil about religion. Ban religion from TV, for a better culture. How do you feel about that?

Boy that reminds me, back in the middle ages people sure were more civil then nowadays without movies or television to teach them filthy language or uncivil behavior.

So you don't think the Middle Ages was a growth in humanity from paganism? Hmmm, maybe you're right? Throwing a few kids in the fire, might solve the world's population problem.

Actually, it is a hot war. The US, HATO, Saudis & Israelis are slaughtering the people in Syria in an effort to turn Syria over to Talmudic "Muslim" terrorists like the US did in Libya. If HATO and allies take Syria, the war will go to Russia real fast.

As long as the Russians and Syrians and Iranians let the Saudis, Turks & Israelis continue attacking Syria with impunity, the HATO war of attrition against Syria comes closer and closer to turning Syria over to the murderous gangs the USA loves so much.

The USA/HATO/Saudi axis yesterday accomplished the hacking, stabbing and burning to death of 100 people in Homs, and successfully blew up a university during the first day of testing that killed 80, mostly students.

Hey, USers you have been so happy slaughtering millions over the last 120 years. You deserve to be disarmed. YOU deserve to suffer at the hands of the Talmudic "Muslim" killers you so love to send into such countries as Yugoslavia, Russia, Libya, Syria, Iraq etc.

Rah Rah Go Go USA kill more people every day.

ctually, Blackrock is an Israeli type, who hates both Russia and America. He's just keeping the peasants befuddled until the time comes when they have milked the last drop out of the American people.

But, most so called Americans are too much in love with their wars to notice that they are getting the shaft.

BTW Russia hasn't attacked America, but those who hate Russia have attacked America, many times.

In a way though, Black Rock is right. He's right because the USA has adopted the Noahide rules that put Israeli interests 1st., and since the Israelis hate Russia and want to destroy Russia, that makes Russia the enemy of Israeli controlled USA.

But in terms of the Real America established in 1774-1776, Russia is that America's best friend.

Really? What do you think Russia would do as the world's policeman? Get rid of the US dollar as the world currency and make the ruble the dominant trading money? For sure, that would be one thing.
Would they also let all the Jews into their country and hand over the reigns?
Who would be their allies? Europe most likely?

Well, no use speculating. Russia is only third in the power line-up.

Germany, Russia and America are brother nations that slaughtered each other because they were manipulated into doing so. The Americans are the guiltiest of the 3 brothers, because they had the opportunity to have known better.

Who (*)(*)(*)(*)ing cares? They're just words!

There's nothing inherently wrong about them.. It's just that some people, for some bizarre reason, have decided to get offended by them. That's their (*)(*)(*)(*)ing problem.

People have NO RIGHT to dictate on others what words they can or cannot say.
