Panetta Opens Combat Roles To Women

    By Lolita C. Baldor | Associated Press | 01/23/2013
    Excerpts:

WASHINGTON (AP) – “Senior defense officials say Pentagon chief Leon Panetta is removing the military's ban on women serving in combat, opening hundreds of thousands of front-line positions and potentially elite commando jobs after more than a decade at war.

The groundbreaking move recommended by the Joint Chiefs of Staff overturns a 1994 rule banning women from being assigned to smaller ground combat units.

Panetta's decision gives the military services until January 2016 to seek special exceptions if they believe any positions must remain closed to women.”

    ......

IMO: Well, it sounds like women have been given permission to do front-line combat and other openings that could potentially lead to elite commando jobs in our services.

It is a tremendous show of equality in the armed forces, but are there many women that really want jobs like: search and destroy bombs...go on secret commando operations that have a high mortality rate...or raid an enemy compound and find immediately that you are outnumbered?

I don’t think so!! Women were never meant for wars and death; we were meant for nurturing and giving birth to babies. And that doesn’t mean that men were meant for warfare either.

I think there is a softer side to men that has never been allowed to surface because society loves to sell guns, violent video games, tickets to football games, basketball, tennis games, all while promoting the armed services/patriotism!! Men’s virility is of prime importance for the business world to exploit for vast profits.

War is a profitable business for some countries and their leaders, and war has been indoctrinated into boys in America since birth and is a man’s game. Women should be free to do what they do best, and what suits them best without being dragged into the male war games.

Suddenly women are to be pushed into a warlike stance by society when it is against our very upbringing, as well as of society to put the ‘fairer sex’ into harm’s way. If war gives men PTSD, you can imagine what it will do for women. oy vey.

In WW2 some of the finest partisans and soldiers in Europe and Russia were women and its not a matter of wanting with this move women capable of combat specialties can be channeled into those after boot camp at the needs and demands of the military services choice is not an issue. And if there is a draft they can then add women to the lists with men adding many more soldiers and since women are more likely to have a High School diploma and maybe college degrees they are preferable for many areas.

    I think this is great.

That's fine with me, however they should also become eligible for the draft then.

    God help us all.

Women can't even shoot straight, their boobs get in the way.

    What a mistake.

Maybe just throw em on the front line to be bullet sponges while the men win the war.

Great! So there's no reason you shouldn't now be forced to sign up for the draft, right sweetheart?

Let's be honest... losers, whether they be in a group by sex, skin color or whatever.... losers want special, not equal treatment.

    - - - Updated - - -

Hey, maybe we can send them behind enemy lines and have them nag the enemy to death.

    Hooray for misogyny!

Other countries, such as Israel, have had women in direct combat for years. Welcome to the 21st century.

Well all our enemies need to do now are buy a bunch of dogs to walk around sniffing for menstrual cycles for the enemy position.

I'd hate to be stuck in a foxhole for days with that bloody stench.

On the bright side maybe they can put on a peep show for our boys in the foxholes - might boost morale during combat.

You know what's actually funny is that THIS is the main reason why most people I know don't want women in combat with them. I used to be a Tanker and we always talked about this. We could handle sitting in a small Tank for weeks without bathing, we all stink we don't care. But nobody wanted to be stuck inside a turret with a woman who stank.

What a bunch of sexist horse(*)(*)(*)(*). Do you think dudes smell like (*)(*)(*)(*)ing roses all the time? You are a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing pathetic sad little man who is obviously threatened by women being treated as equals.

Besides, there are ways to not have your period. I imagine women in combat would want to forgo that monthly problem. The stress alone would probably stop it.

The people that make these 'decisions' are never the ones that choke on the consequences... Its a brutal world that just became slightly more brutal, remember that...

It will be funny to watch the ladies trying to get out of the draft, when next major war starts. They should have to register for the selective service immediately.

It is accurate that there are women who will not join because they do not want the extreme focus and scrutiny placed on them not placed upon men. Most people don't like to be put under the experimental microscope as people are raging against them even being there. In fact there are many men in the military determined to blow out/fail any woman that comes under their command. If all else fails, they can engage in minor harassment coaxing the woman to complain, which will lead to the CO receiving a trival reprimand and the woman reassigned as a way to get rid of her.

Boot camp DIs and pass or fail anyone they want to. If a DI wants women to fail, they will fail. If a DI wants women to pass, they will pass.

TWENTYNINE PALMS, CALIF. — Marine officials announced they have apprehended Lance Cpl. Jennifer Cruz for defacing port-a-johns throughout the Twentynine Palms area with pictures of vaginas and clitorises.

Waiving her rights to speak to an attorney, Cruz said, “The whole time I’ve been out here, I’ve been thinking of getting my clam slammed by footlong (*)(*)(*)(*). Yet, for some inexplicable reason, I’ve been obsessed with drawing pictures of (*)(*)(*)(*)(*).”

“(*)(*)(*)(*) if I can explain it.”

NCIS claims they had been hot on Cruz’ snail trail for weeks, even though she proved to be hard to get initially.
“We were mystified,” said NCIS Special Agent Steve Michaelson. “We just couldn’t figure out who was writing ‘Wagner luvs puss’ all over the port-a-johns.”
“I mean, obviously Wagner must be an alpha chick who’s hooked up with half the guys in her local area. But does she like (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) as well?” Michaelson asked. “It’s quite baffling.”

Forensics art critics were confident, however, the elusive artist was a female.

“Usually, when guys draw a vagina, it’s completely wrong,” according to Serge Hirshorn, an art analyst who consults with NCIS. “This vagina was actually anatomically correct. It even had a clitoris and everything.”

Cruz was especially proud of her rendition of a clitoris bulging from beneath her perfectly-formed lips.

Marine Pfc. Joshua Neville, who first reported the vagina drawings, had to have the details explained to him. When the clitoris in particular was pointed out, he simply responded, “Huh, never noticed that before.”
