My heart goes out to all the victims and their families. Seems like this kind of (*)(*)(*)(*) is happening every month in this country.

So far, I haven't seen any reports of either a suspect, or someone claiming to have done it. All we know is it's sick, but we don't know the exact nature of the disease.

    I suspect the bicycle lobby!

May the victims (and family of victims) of this tragedy find comfort in their closest circles and well wishers, and may those that fell know true peace. This is sad, really... these times we live in. Random attacks like these are difficult to avert, and folks start double-thinking the most routine things (the goal of terrorism). Caught my kid watching the news today at the doctor, and I told him to look for (and count) the helpers. It's a good distraction/teaching mechanism, and it sucks I had to use it... these times call for it. Who ever did this is a coward (or a group of cowards) and it's my hope that they meet swift & sound justice issued by our most merciless authority. Really tired of this.

This is interesting... apparently, according to this former FBI SA, they may not even marandize...

Nice job. Sometimes it's painful being a parent... and some days it's really painful. I hope your boy is doing OK with all of this tonight. Kids shouldn't have to be seeing things like this. They've got a whole lifetime ahead of them in which they won't be able to avoid it; it doesn't need to start that soon.

    Forgotten 9/11 already, have you?

Hell, even then we were damn lucky to lose ONLY ~3000 people.

It worked great for John Walsh. It made him a tv star.

I'd imagine any of those parents would trade in the fruits of telling their respective stories for a chance to hold their kid again. "Professional victim" seems a bit cold.

Let's see, a nut steals his mom's gun, murders her, and goes on a mass shooting and the Democrats want to ban assault rifles with kill less people every year than hands and feet. Will they want to ban Saudis, if Saudis bombed Boston? Especially, after the Twin Towers were collapsed by 19 "assault Saudis" on 9/11/01.

There's a lot about this guy that doesn't add up, from the reports I've seen. He's under guard, but not considered a person of interest? What are they guarding him for, then? And some news reports say that he was tackled by bystanders while running away from the explosions, but others say he was detained a couple of hours later - with a leg wound that was serious enough to be hospitalized. So was he tackled at the scene, or was he wandering around 2 hours later with a serious leg wound? If it was a serious enough wound that he needed to be hospitalized, why was he not seeking treatment? There are some blank spots that need to be filled in here.

Yeah, that's certainly possible too. Just all seems odd. We'll probably have answers soon enough.

Isn't taking shooting your mom to death illegal too? How about violating a school gun free zone with a rifle? Mass murder?

I expect that this will all end up being the result of them having more than one person, the only one we know about is the student that was in the hospital. All of the verbiage has been pluralized when telling people not to jump to conclusions.

absolutely, there were many people running, being wounded and middle eastern doesn't make someone guilty...people are making way too many assumptions far too early...there are lot's of loons out there anyone of which could have done this...

why target a marathon audience? it's a totally pointless target if it was meant to be a political statement...

Well thank the media for that. 45 seconds of footage, 2 minutes of facts. 23 hours and 57 minutes of air time to fill. What better way than speculation and assumption?
