Apparently, voters are fed up with the intransigence and obstructionism of the cons.
They would prefer to have a government that is united and can act on the problems we face rather than the dysfunctional spectacle of ********** pols trying to bully others with threats and actively working to harm the US for their own partisan advantage.
Since the white house is currently under democratic control, voters are planning to vote for democratic control of Congress so that they can actually do some work instead of creating crises every couple of weeks.
2014 should be an interesting mid-term election.

I hate to burst your bubble.....but a national poll for local races, is essentially meaningless.

Everyone would prefer to have a government that is united and can act on the problems we face, but not the wrong-headed stuff the Democrats propose.

With really dumb old people dying off, things don't look good for the Republican Party.

Perhaps, but they have managed to breed a lot of really dumb children to take their place. They're still a threat to the wellbeing of the country.

A national poll regarding highly localized elections like house seats is as has already been pointed out beyond useless. Red states will continue to be red for a long while yet. National polls tend to overweight heavily populated regions making the results look a lot better than you would other wise think.

Yeah, Bush the "great depression of 2008" President, and the offer of a "Mitt Romney" by the right certainly projects confidence leadership abilities second to none huh? ROFL

You forgot to add "white" to that description! Why not just be honest, Jeff?

Yes, this is a thing to celebrate. The greatest generation is dying off, while the unemployed white progressives living at home, illegal aliens, and the black underclass rise up to take their place at the polls, eager to vote themselves a raise.

Take comfort in knowing you'll run the 3rd world trash heap you're turning this country into.

Congress are the people that screw up the economy not the president. Please note current Democratic economic policy is in the process of creating another housing bubble from the soap scum left by the last one.

You've obviously never read the poem on the Statue of Liberty. Our history is indelibly linked to taking in the world's "trash", as you people like to call them, and they have always enriched and strengthened America.
The only ones turning America into a trash heap are the domestic right-wingers with their irrational hate and paranoia and lust for violence.

Chemtrails? Wasn't the OP was about the GOP? Besides, you believe weather modification doesn't exist. Does the GOP have something to do with it now?

That's back when we took disenfranchised white immigrants from Europe who learned English on their own and worked hard. Long before the days of farting out an anchor baby and hauling ass down to the nearest welfare office where they must habla espanol, because of their inability and unwillingness to learn the language of the land.

Problem for the GOP is.....they aren't a united Party.

You've got Rand Paul leading the libertarians and neo-isolationists...against the Social Cons and Neo-cons.

Marco Rubio pushing immigration reform...against the Nativists.

Paul Ryan now coming out in favor of an Internet sales tax....agains the "No New Taxes EVER" Grover Norquist group.

Christie acting sane and gracious to the President....against the Obama Derangement Syndromers.

    - - - Updated - - -

I reallyl hope the GOP keeps pandering to guys like you, Brew....would make that demographic extinction come even faster.

Sadly...I think there are too many smart, ambitious Republicans (like Rubio)...who realize guys like you?.....don't win the GOP elections any more, in fact...cost them.

It doesn't really matter who the GOP panders to anymore. Turning the US into an extension of the Hispanic 3rd world ensures that the country will continue to decline in both standard of living as well as world position. I only hope the other white countries wake up and realize that self loathing white progessives like you don't have the country's best interest in mind. Your only goal is to cheerlead for a political party who seeks only power.

So, you know even less about history than I thought.
Go back and read about those times and how the reactionaries of the day treated and spoke about the Irish, Italians and all those other European immigrants and Oriental immigrants that you grow nostalgic about today.
Your posturing now is all a sham. Immigrants have always been scapegoats for disgruntled reactionaries. Bigots have always been bigots. Right-wingers today are simply following in the same traditions of paranoia, bigotry and intolerance that they have always practiced against immigrants.
