"Supreme Court order requires lawmakers to craft concealed carry laws" and Governor Quinn promises to block a supreme court requirement? I hope he and any Illinois Senators ready to go to jail over it, because they should if he does what they said. The Supreme Court is over your jurisdiction, if you're not willing to abide by their decisions you all need to be removed from office.

someone needs to remind Quinn how a democratic republic functions. Of course considering obama is supposed to be a constitutional scholar and ignores the constitution on a regular basis I guess the precedent has been set

Politics as usual, ignore the Constitution and SCOTUS.

I actually hope Dems fight this. That way it can go all the way to the Supreme Court where our gun rights will once again be upheld. They tried it in D.C. vs Heller and McDonald vs Chicago and it backfired on them. When they lose this one, concealed carry will be available to every law abiding citizen in the nation.

Senate President John Cullerton denounced the measure passed in the House

So this S. Cullerton denounced the voice of the people's elected representatives? Thereby denouncing the will of the citizens.

And once, or if, IL citizens are allowed to carry concealed, they'll see that the only increase in shootings will involve criminals getting their asses handed to them by armed citizens.

It's odd that you cannot have a concealed gun in the places where you'd most need one.
