…in the Age of Hussein Obama.

Law-abiding gun owners. Small business owners. Entrepreneurs. The Tea Party. Clingers. Home schooler. Those who seek fair elections.

    http://pjmedia.com/victordavishanson/the-new-american-enemies-list/?singlepage=true

    quote:
“Gun merchants are blamed by the president while in Mexico for selling lethal semi-automatic weapons to drug cartels. But so far, the only identifiable purveyor of illegal weaponry is the president’s own attorney general…”

“The words “Tea Party” and “patriot” in a non-profit’s name would more likely earn a negative appraisal from the IRS than would “Islam” or “Muslim.” One wonders how Lois Lerner’s IRS division would treat a hypothetical “Sarah Palin Foundation” versus “The Dr. Zawahiri Charity.”

“The IRS is not worried at all about 47% of the nation who pay no federal income taxes. The vast majority of those whom it focuses on are instead the 10% who pay over 70% of all taxes.”

“Sometime around 2009 success was deemed failure, and failure success…”

“There is currently a climate of fear growing throughout the United States. Millions of Americans are terrified of the IRS, the Department of Justice, the EPA, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and even perhaps the FBI, CIA, and State Department.”

“…government agencies have never been bigger, more powerful, and more ideologically driven. Citizens fear them for understandable reasons: those who do nothing wrong, whether in filing tax forms or trying to buy a rifle, are considered suspect and deserving to be the target of either federal scrutiny or presidential slurs. But those who do a great deal of wrong, either by illegally entering the country, disrupting polling, trafficking in weapons in Mexico, eavesdropping on American citizens, pulling tax information for partisan purposes, subverting a government agency, or lying to the public about government activity, seem exempt from punishment — and, more chillingly, sense that they are so exempt.”

“Of all the legacies of Barack Obama, the most pernicious will be the creation of a rogue government that has cut off and terrified half the population — and for no other reason than that they seem to represent things that Mr. Obama simply does not seem to understand.”

we are not terrified, we are saddened. this great experiment in free society has been hacked away at and has endured, but the current regime seems intent on bringing it to a close. it caters to those who do not appreciate their freedoms, but instead waste their energies on envying what others have accomplished. it seeks to "fundamentally change" the structure of the nation, taking from those who have succeeded, growing a useless bureaucracy and tossing what's left to those who have failed. it insists on following a failed philosophy of authoritarian rule in the guise of aiding those in need.

Actually, people are scared. I know people in the pro-life movement and they say people are scared to contribute money now, for fear the IRS will go after them.

Mostly agree, but we are past the point of "saddened" and approach "fear" as more government agencies oppress us more vigorously.

Seems like it is you that is projecting your fears, something that has become very common among the right these days, the Party of fear. Every one of your points have been addressed time and time again on this board, yet you still continue to cling to your fear, which to me simply means you enjoy wallowing in it, all I can say is; enjoy.

Tyrannical is tyrannical does, and this administration is the most tyrannical since FDR. At least FDR had a World War to justify what he did.

Fear of tyrants is wholly justified.

Yeah, this great experiment in free society has been hacked away at by the anti-slave folks, suffragettes, street corner pencil salesmen and, now, by those who want medical care and are opposed to corporate tyranny. Too damn bad if your free society experiment doesn't endure.
