“Hillary Clinton denounced recent voter identification legislation in a speech at the American Bar Association's annual conference on Monday.

On the same day that North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory (R) signed a restrictive voter ID bill into law, Clinton criticized the Supreme Court decision that she believes "stripped out the pre-clearance formula that made the Voting Rights Act so effective."

She noted that Texas, Florida and North Carolina are states whose recent voter legislation has shifted the burden, slamming the North Carolina bill as one that "reads like the greatest hits of voter suppression."

"In the weeks since the ruling, we've seen an unseemly rush by previously covered jurisdictions to enact or enforce laws that will make it harder for millions of our fellow Americans to vote," Clinton said.

Clinton also went after several provisions of the North Carolina bill that she believes place a greater burden on citizens facing discrimination, including limited voting hours, stricter ID requirements and restricted early voting.”

IMO: It is beginning to look like Hillary is weighing in early on many important issues that will constrain Democratic voters in the upcoming elections, and if she runs for president in 2016, she should dislike the changes in voting that will affect her campaign that makes many roadblocks on blacks, Latinos and poor working people in getting to the polls.

I think the polls should be open as many hours as it takes to get every American citizen to vote in this country. This is a precious right he has and no governor, president, or politician should be able to take that right away from each citizen by chipping away at his alleged worthiness to vote and take part in the glorious procedure of deciding who he thinks would best run the state and federal government.

This is a right guaranteed to us by our Constitution and anyone disputing, or embarking on a cowardly crusade to stop others from voting their preference, is misguided, mistaken, and is wrong.

 

This clearly shows that hillary is suffering from some sort of mental lapse.

Does she not understand how government works?

Does she not understand the role of the Supreme Court?

The supreme court has already ruled, "What difference does her ignorance of government functions make?"

The law does not discriminate, it doesn't care if you are a white 56 year old Republican, No state issued photo ID, no vote. It is that simple. The constitution also grants us the right to purchase and consume alcohol, yet you have to provide an ID for that as well.....

the law does not go into effect until 2016, the state is offering assistance in the form of free state issued ID cards, hardly seems like voter suppression to me, and you are 100% incorrect, the law does not discrminate, it does not see color, religion, sex or creed. No ID, no vote, period. Doesn't matter white, black, brown, plaid or polka dotted.
