Syria defector's photos depict 'systematic torture and killing' of detainees WARNING: Story contains graphic content, images A Syrian military police photographer has supplied "clear evidence" showing the systematic torture and killing of about 11,000 detainees in circumstances that evoked Nazi death camps, former war crimes prosecutors said. One of the prosecutors said the evidence documented "industrial scale killing". 'Systematic torture and killing' Bearing signs of torture, some of the corpses had no eyes. Others showed signs of strangulation or electrocution. Assad has denied war crimes, saying he is fighting "terrorists" who want to use Syria to sow chaos across the Middle East. But 55,000 images provided by the photographer, who fled Syria after passing the pictures to Assad's opponents, show emaciated and mutilated corpses. "There is clear evidence, capable of being believed by a tribunal of fact in a court of law, of systematic torture and killing of detained persons by the agents of the Syrian government," the three prosecutors said in the 31-page report. Photographer flees Syria The defector, who was codenamed Caesar and whose identity has not been released to the media, had worked as a criminal investigator for the military police for 13 years prior to his defection. The three former prosecutors, who worked at the criminal war crimes tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Sierra Leone, examined the evidence and interviewed the source in three sessions in the last 10 days. Ambassador Prosor attacked the Palestinian leadership's continuous incitement against Israel and discussed the violence and instability afflicting the Middle East. Ambassador Prosor said: "President Abbas could learn a great deal from King Hussein of Jordan about demonstrating his commitment to making peace. I and most Israelis will never forget the sight of King Hussein consoling the Israeli families whose children had been killed in a terrorist attack. Contrast this picture, with a picture from just a few weeks ago when released terrorists were given a heroes’ welcome by the Palestinians and embraced by President Abbas. I am taking the time to respond to the above. Contrary to what has been misrepresented here/above Jewish kids learn to retaliate not necessary hate. They retaliate for the thousands of stone throwers against vehicles on the main hi ways... They retaliate for so many killings of Jews even babies murdered in prams... They retaliate for all the malevolent attacks, Bus bombings, Pizzeria bombings, Open market bombings, terrorist attacks during the day (stabbing), and slaughter of a whole family sleeping at night... Nooooooooooo!!! They are not taught hate but they learn how to roll with the blows, they learn how to avoid direct contact with knife totting Arab individuals and how to carry on living when the Arabs venerate death. I am against an independent Arab country in the heart of the little Jewish State of Israel. I prefer that the two people live separate for two generations or more, I would have preferred transfer of the Million and half irredentist Arabs to all and every Arab country and Muslim country of Europe their ancestors came from... I wish them well but not on account of Jewish casualties and blood... I am sure we will prevail.
