If you support Rand Paul, don't bother posting.

At the moment, I support Rand Paul for president in 2016. For the moment it doesn't matter why.

I want to be absolutely sure.

Convince me why I SHOULDN'T vote for Rand Paul in the 2016 election, whether it be the Republican primary or the General Election.

Note: Please don't use "He wont win" as a reason. When I say convince me, I mean policy/leadership wise. Not election wise.

    GO!

He has no chance of winning the primary, so you won't have to waste your time voting twice.

Besides that. Convince me using things such as how would he run the country, does he have good policies, is he a good leader, etc.

Not if you've been raped, or if you are dying. He'd have to think on that last part though.

He'd be good for Lloyd Blankfein and people of his ilk, but not anyone else.

While voting for Ron Paul seemed to be voting against the establishment, his son is definitely part of the RNC/DNC establishment. He would likely be no different than
Jeb Bush or Paul Ryan. The GOP has to pick better candidates. However, with the ruling regarding unlimited campaign contributions it will once again come down
to the top earner, not necessarily who is best for our Nation.

Because he wants to create a world where all the laws that say a corporation can't dump lethal chemicals in our air and water go away. And all the laws that say workers have a right to a safe workplace go away. And all laws that say you can't employ children go away. And all the laws that say you can't work someone 80 hours a week without at least paying over-time or a salary go away. And all the laws that say you can't buy up all the other businesses and have a monopoly go away. And all the laws that say you can't engage in price fixing go away. And all the laws that say you have to properly label your products go away. And all the laws that say you can't discriminate based on race and gender go away.

But all the laws that keep the fed up workers and customers or their surviving family members from burning down the corporate headquarters with the CEO in it don't go away.

Seems awfully one sided to me.

His naivety. Rand Paul believes he can win over blacks to vote for him in droves lol. Is Rand Paul special? No.
    He agrees with amnesty.

What will your explanation be when he fails to attract black voters like he intends to? Will you admit that its not as easy as he thinks and hes wrong? Blacks are racist nationalists, they will always take a black candidate over a white one or a candidate who will give them more handouts.

If we don't know why you're voting for him, how can we know what will convince you to NOT vote for him?

If one is guilty of ever having thought crimes against black people, one should indeed vote for Mr.Paul. Go for it!

Vote for whoever you want. Personally, I will wait and see who my choices are first before committing to a candidate.

I guess there is no reason you shouldn't support him if you agree with his politics.

Paul is anti abortion. There is nothing wrong with holding this as a personal view but there is a difference between having a religious belief and wanting to force that belief on everyone others. Paul wants to force his belief on everyone.

I say religious belief because there is no proof from science or philosophy, bioethics and so on that a zygote is a human.

You can test this by asking any anti abortion advocate: "Please give evidence that shows the zygote is a human" Make sure they know the difference between human (descriptive adjective) and Human (Noun form).

There is no valid argument proving the zygote is a human or even some kind of consensus among experts (biologists) so and those that claim there are either lying or ignorant.

So what does this say about Paul ? The constitution is clear that the state is not to make laws on the basis of religion. Does this self professed constitutionalist not understand this ?

It is really too bad because I really like Paul's stance on many issues.

He aligns himself with libertarians and far right conservatives, and that is their position. The only thing they want government to do is maintain courts, cops, and military. The only laws they want are laws that will stop simple violence such as I described but they want no laws that will stop more complex violence involving exploitation, careless disregard for worker and consumer safety, and environmental hazards. This has been the platform for several decades now of the far right.

By that yardstick, the Irish Potato Famines were subjective, too. Read an interesting article about human inability to really grasp systemic matters. I've no doubt that makes it easier to commit acts of violence on a broad, long-term scale.
