    Their mission statement (http://www.mamsm.info/mission.htm) affirms:

See you outside a television studio on April 19th (http://www.mamsm.info/events.htm)!

The media is too easy to bash. Really all they do is give people want they want: sensationalist perspectives with video footage. Impartiality is a myth, it's not possible to report on an event without adding some sort of perspective. We should realize this and be more open about finding news which actually fits our preferences, rather than just sticking with the establishment one.

Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc aren't really the issue. They're free to pump out nonsense all they like. It's really the people who are at fault. Everyday people. Make your preferences known!

My pet peeve with MAMSM is that they won't take up the cause of abolishing the regulatory structure that makes the MSM what it is. IMHO they should start with advocating shutting down the FCC.

Television will go the way of the newspaper once people from the "TV generation" start dying out. Media will transition to the internet. It already has to a large extent. Once this happens the FCC becomes completely irrelevant.

But yeah. The FCC should be abolished for the short term.

We've got to bury the FCC deep. It regulates the internet too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Communications_Commission#Network_neutrality

Yeah but that regulates ISPs. That was to be expected, the government has its claws in every business in the country. I guess in some China style system they could, but practically they have no ability to alter content on the net. Even where states have gone full retard like in China, encryption makes it difficult to stop the spread of free information.

It's easier to encode information than it is to decode it. That simple fact puts power in the hands of individuals. That's why until recently the NSA was going full Gestapo over encryption algorithms.

Bottom line is - governments, cartels, private criminals, etc will always try to interfere with the flow of free information. The question then becomes: what can we do to fight back, not: what can we do to make them join us. That's never going to happen.
